Permissions

Restrictions can be defined in your quote model using User Permissions.

You can manage permission on the following:

  • Steps & Pages - manage step and page visibility
  • Actions - manage action visibility
  • Columns, Lines - manage Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) permissions on columns and line templates.
  • Fields - uses to Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) permissions on fields
  • Bundle Lines - manage permissions on child bundle lines

Permissions are managed by session states and matching rules. The system will use the matching rule based on fields or session variables to identify which session states are valid for the current quote session. The matching rule can be based on user related values, such as the user profile.

Several session states can be assigned to one quote session.

To create a session state, click Add Sessions State and give it a name. Select a session state by clicking on it to define its matching rule from the left pane. In addition, the flag Rulable will define if User Rules can be defined for this session state (if not, the user won't be able to define any rule at runtime).

On each page, Session states are displayed as columns.

Permissions are set by checking the items for a given element (Step, page, action, line template, etc.). To select everything, click on the box next to the name of the session state.

Use the Filter button in the upper right corner to filter the list if needed.
