Checking In Templates
After creating a new template or making changes to an existing one, you can check the template in to update the changes in Conga CLM.
Prerequisite
You must have a template checked out or created to check a template in.
To check a template in
Your template is checked in to Conga CLM. A new template record is created for the template if this is the first check-in and a template version is created if it is an already existing template. A DOCX copy of the template is added in the Notes & Attachments related list in Conga CLM.The template will not open in a new instance.
If the xa_disableautocheckout profile permission is set to true in Conga CLM, clicking Save only raises the confirmation message, but does not open the template in a new instance. No lock icon appears and both the Work and Finish tabs are disabled. To work on the template, search the template again, open it, make changes and check it in again. For more information on disable auto check out, see Assigning Custom Permissions to User Profiles.
If you attempt to check-in an agreement template that contains clauses marked as needing an update, a pop-up warning appears prompting you to refresh the clauses.
If you skip the clause refresh during check-in or through the Refresh Clause screen, the Need Publishing feature flag remains set to True.
