Billing Legacy Assets Associated with a Billing Plan
There is a high possibility that a legacy asset is associated with a billing plan when it is migrated to Conga. The asset might have been activated for the first time in Conga or may have undergone some amendment while associated with the billing plan. Hence Conga Billing provides support to such assets subject to certain limitations:
- If you are already using Conga CPQ and the ALI is already created: In this case, it’s not possible to create a new billing plan on the fly because that stage is already passed. However, you might add a billing plan to that ALI in a custom fashion. In such cases, Conga Billing does not pose any restrictions. When the billing is initiated, Conga Billing creates the schedules based on the billing plan information and will validate the billing plan amount.
- If the legacy asset is coming to the Conga ecosystem for the first time: In this case, there’s an opportunity for you to create quotes where you can define a billing plan for such ALIs.
