Understanding Billing

Forecast Billing Schedules

The Billing forecasts of products visually show how a product, if purchased, will be sold over a period of time. It helps you stay informed and account for the way revenue will be scheduled for products in the form of Billing Schedules. Using forecast billing schedules, you know how much and on what dates your customer will be invoiced for the purchase.
Note: If you are aligning the billing schedules to new billing day of the month during an ABO, the system supports forecasting the data with new billing day populated on the newly generated billing schedules. See, Billing Day Alignment During an ABO for more.

You can forecast your billing schedules from:

  • Cart Page
  • Asset Manager Flow
  • Order
    Note:

    Forecast billing is supported by using the Configure Products button as well as using the Amend Order functionality on the Order Details page. Clicking any of these navigates to the Cart UI to forecast the billing schedules.

    You can now include the cart line items associated with a Billing Plan as part of forecast summary. The forecast summary can be generated by clicking a button on the UI or using the API.

Note:

Administrators need to add the Forecast Billing button on the cart. For information on creating the Forecast Billing button, refer to Forecast Billing Button on Cart.

You can now include the proposal line items associated with a Billing Plan as part of forecast summary. The forecast summary can be generated by clicking a button on the UI or using the API.
