CLM (Conga Contracts for Salesforce) End-User Process with Salesforce CPQ Document Generation
When using Contracts for Salesforce with Salesforce CPQ, terms are generated from the CPQ term library rather than the Contracts for Salesforce library. Quote Terms can be found as an object within Salesforce.
Currently only works in Lightning enabled Salesforce orgs. Also, enhanced CPQ documents are not supported with Contracts for Salesforce.
The flow for using Contracts for Salesforce with Salesforce CPQ is as follows:
Click Generate Document. This uses the CPQ document engine to create a CPQ quote.
Fill out the form with required fields: Add a Recipient, Template, and Subject. The email must have at least one attachment.
Enter the Document Type name you created in Step 4.
Click Send to send the document for negotiation via email.
Negotiate document in Microsoft Word. All parties must reply to the same email thread and keep the filename similar to the original to ensure the negotiated versions of the document are stored and tracked in Salesforce.Changes to line items are not supported in CPQ.
When the negotiation is complete, click View Redlines.
Click True-Up™ to determine which changes to reconcile to Salesforce.
For each change you want to True-upTM, click the arrow to reconcile the data back to Salesforce.
When you are done, click Save.
You can now regenerate a Salesforce CPQ quote in the form of a PDF to be executed.
