When you check-in an X-Author Template and Configuring Conga Contracts for Salesforce for use with X-Author for Contracts, a template is automatically created in the Templates section.|

To manage your X-Author for Contracts templates, take the following steps:

Editing a Template

In the Templates section, you can create a new template, import a template, or change template owner. In the current Contracts for Salesforce package, new X-Author for Contracts templates are created when you check-in.

  1. From the Salesforce App Launcher, search for "Templates".
  2. Click Templates.
  3. To edit a Template, click its name, and then click Edit.
  4. In the screen that opens you can change the template's name, template locale, change its Active status, and other available options.

Changing a Template Owner

  1. From the Salesforce App Launcher, search for "Templates".
  2. Click Templates.
  3. To change owner the owner of the Template, click its name.
  4. from the dropdown arrow on the right, select Change Owner.
  5. In the popup window that appears, search for a user name, and then click Submit.

Adding a Custom Template Locale

You can add a custom template locale for your X-Author for Contracts templates. First, meet the following prerequisites:

  • Ensure to format the Locale Names and Locale Codes correctly as there is no system validation on these values.

  • You cannot create duplicate locales or create locales with the standard Locale Names which come available with the Conga Contracts application (refer to the Standard Locale Names and Locale Codes table below).

  • You must provide the Locale Code in <ISO Language code>-<ISO Country code> format. The locale code is not case sensitive.

To add a custom locale, take the following steps:

  1. In Salesforce, go to Setup > Object Manager > Template Locale.
  2. Click Fields & Relationships.
  3. Click Locale Code.
  4. In the Values section, click New.
  5. Enter the locale name.
  6. Click Save.
  7. In the Locale Name page, navigate to the Field Dependencies section and click Edit before Locale Code.
  8. Click Next and find the locale name you added.
  9. Select the locale code you added.
  10. Click the Include Values button.
