Setting up the MSA for Sales Cloud Quickstart
This package includes an end to end Master Services Agreement process for Sales Cloud. Users can request an MSA through a Salesforce flow from opportunities and accounts. The package also inserts example contract language and sample clauses. The template sample is to help you design your own templates and create your own clauses. You are welcome to use our template and replace the sample clause verbiage with your own.
Prerequisites
You must install Conga Composer before installing and configuring this process.
To install the MSA for Sales Cloud Quickstart
- Navigate to Conga CLM Setup in Salesforce
- Click on Quickstarts > General in the menu on the left
- Click View under MSA for Sales Cloud Quickstart
If Conga Composer is installed, you will see green Composer Installed verification text and can proceed by clicking MSA for Sales Cloud Package Install Link.
You must install this package before proceeding to the configuration link.
- Click Agree and Install Package to proceed with the installation after reading the disclaimer or click Close if you do not want to proceed.
- On the Salesforce package installation page, select a user installation and access option. We recommend selecting Install for All users.
- Click Install
- Click Done
- You are redirected to the Salesforce Installed Package page where you can view the package you just installed. You don't have to take any further actions now, but you are able to configure and modify these packages at any time.
To configure the MSA or Sales Cloud Quickstart
- Navigate to Conga CLM Setup in Salesforce
- Click on Quickstarts > General in the menu on the left
- Click View under MSA for Sales Cloud Quickstart
- Click the MSA for Sales Cloud Quickstart Configuration link
- If successfully installed, a green banner displays with the following message:
Business Process Data Successfully Created
- From the Quick Find menu, enter "Conga Solutions".
- Click Conga Contracts for Salesforce_MSA_Solution to view the Conga Composer solution you created through the above steps. This is where you can view the button URL, queries, and parameters. You are able to edit or make additions to this solution.
- To edit the Word template, Click the Conga_Contracts_for_Salesforce_MSA Salesforce Record for the File Template
- Under the Related tab, click on MSA_Template to view the Word template and merge fields. You can edit this template and click Upload Files to upload your own version. For more information see Composer Template Basics.
- For more information on adding queries and parameters, see Building Composer Solutions.
- Click Create Button
- Navigate to Object Manager > Account > Page Layouts and under Mobile and Lightning Actions add the MSA Contract Request action to your layout and click Save. For more information on adding buttons to a page layout, see Customize Standard and Custom Buttons on Page Layouts.
- Navigate to Object Manager > Opportunity > Page Layouts and under Mobile and Lightning Actions add the MSA Contract Request action to your layout and click Save. For more information on adding buttons to a page layout, see Customize Standard and Custom Buttons on Page Layouts.
- Navigate to Object Manager > Contract Agreement > Page Layouts > and click Page Layout Assignment
- Select Contract Agreement MSA Layout from the Page Layout to Use: dropdown menu.
- Click Save
- Click on the Agreement MSA Layout link to configure the Page Layout for its assigned user profile.
- Add the Conga Contracts for SalesforceMSASolution button to the layout and click Save.
- Navigate to Conga CLM > Clause Library
- Click the Clause Bundles tab
- Click MSA Terms and Conditions from the left menu and click the Related tab to view or edit the fifty four clauses created for this process.
- Navigate to Conga CLM > Clause Library
- Click the Obligations tab to view the default obligations created during the setup process. You can delete or modify these obligations.
Users can now Create a MSA Contract Request.
