Implementation Tasks

Important: This feature is available only in the Modern UI (new UI) and is not supported in the Classic UI (old UI).

Prerequisite: You have raised a CloudOps ticket to enable CLM_StreamlineAdministrationPhase1_CONTRACTS-37459 feature flag.

Implementation Tasks lets you to open specific configuration or settings pages directly from individual steps. Only implementation users, who are administrator-level users responsible for setting up and configuring CLM for an organization, can access and use the Implementation Tasks page. These users can view, track, and manage all Implementation Tasks.

The Implementation Tasks page displays a list of tasks needed to set up Conga CLM. To make setup faster, each task includes a direct link to the related configuration or settings page. When implementation users click the link, the correct configuration or settings page opens in Conga CLM in a new browser tab.

Implementation steps are shown in a single consolidated view and are grouped by functional area (for example, Approvals, CLM Admin Settings, Data Model, and so on). Each task displays the following columns that helps in clear guidance on what must be configured.
ColumnDescription
Task CategoryTask Category (For example, Data Model, UI)
TaskName of the implementation step, hyperlinked to the corresponding configuration page in the application where you perform that step.
StatusStatus of the task. Available statuses: Not Started (default), In Progress, Completed, Blocked, Not Applicable.

Status updates are saved persistently per organization.

Comments

Add, edit, and view free-text comments for each implementation step. Use comments to capture progress notes, decisions, blockers, or additional context.

Comments are saved persistently per organization and visible to all users with access to the Implementation Tasks page.

Documentation LinkEach implementation step includes a documentation link that opens detailed configuration guidance in a new browser tab.

Direct navigation from implementation tasks to configuration and settings pages helps you to:

  • Save time by going straight to the correct setup page.

  • Reduce switching between guidance content and product pages.

  • Keep the current org and user session.

  • Follow the existing permission model so they only see what they are allowed to see.

  • Easily return to the Implementation Tasks page after they finish configuration.

When you select a task on the Implementation Tasks page:

  • The related configuration or settings page opens in a new browser tab.

  • The page uses the user's current login and org/environment.

  • You can complete the setup on that page.

  • The Implementation Tasks page remains open in the original tab so users can continue to view the implementation task description and other related information as they complete the configuration.
