Searching Conversations

  • You have access to contract records with permission to view conversations.
  • At least one conversation or message exists for the contract.

You can search across all conversations (search field on the left side) or within a specific conversation (search field on the right side). You can search using:

  • Keywords or phrases in the conversation subject
  • Keywords or phrases in message content (including posts and replies)
  • Participant names (full or partial match)
  • Attachment filenames (when the Search in Attachments checkbox is enabled)

Search results include content from both posts and replies.

Note: Search terms must contain at least three characters. Searches do not run for shorter terms.

Limitation: Search includes attachment filenames only when the attachment search option is enabled. The system does not currently search the content inside attachments.

Search across Conversations in List View
  1. Open the conversation list view for the relevant contract.
  2. In the Search field of the list view, enter one of the following:
    • Keyword or phrase that appears in the thread subject or message content.
    • Participant name (full or partial), for example, enter Chen to match Sarah Chen.
  3. Enable the Search in Attachments checkbox to search in the documents attached to the post and replies.
Conversations are filtered based on matches in subject, participant name, message content, or attachment filenames (when Search in Attachments checkbox is enabled). Results include content from both posts and replies, and participant names are displayed in the thread summary.
Search within a Specific Conversation
  1. Open a specific conversation from the list.
  2. In the conversation's Search field, enter a keyword or participant name.
  3. Review the highlighted matches within the conversation.
  4. Enable the Search in Attachments checkbox to search in the documents attached to the post and replies.
All matching keywords or names are highlighted in the message content and attachment filenames (when Search Attachments is enabled), including both top-level posts and nested replies.
