New Features and Enhancements

The following features are new to Conga CLM in this release.

Document Protection Settings in eSign API

The /api/esign/v1/esignatures API request model has been modified to include document protection levels for wet signature transactions. Previously, these protection levels were retrieved from CLM API. For more details on document protection levels, see Document Protection Setup.

Adding Leading Zeros to Contract Numbers

The Sequence Padding field in the “Contract Number” setting is required if a value is entered in the Prefix field. From the 202410.2.0 release onward, for new tenants, the Sequence Padding field is pre-populated with the seed data 0000000 by default for the contract number. For more information, see General Settings.

Upload Signed Document for DocuSign and Conga Sign

Users can upload the signed copy of the contract document received offline from the signatories, irrespective of whether the sign transaction was created in CLM or not. For more information see Sending Documents for eSignature with DocuSign and Sending Documents for eSignature with CongaSign.

Role-based Access Permissions for User

Administrators can grant or remove permissions on objects, enabling users to perform create, read, update, delete, and clone operations. For more information, see Managing Roles and Permission Groups.

Configuring the Create New Clause and Clone Clause Page Layouts

Administrators can configure the page layout of a new clause and clone clause by clicking the Edit Layout icon in the Create New Clause and Clone Clause windows. For more information, see Configuring a Page Layout, Creating a Clause Record, and Cloning a Clause Record.

Unique Identifier for Contract Number

The Prefix field for the contract number is optional, allowing users to save the settings without entering any information in that field. For more information, see “Contract Number” setting in General Settings.

Cloning Standard Action Buttons in Page Header

Users can clone standard action buttons existing in the page header and rename them to fit specific business terms or processes, create different versions of actions for different user profiles or record types, or configure cloned actions to appear only under specific conditions, offering more control over the user interface. For more information see, Configuring a Page Layout.

Feature Flag to Hide Next Steps Panel

Administrators can enable the “Hide Contract Next Steps” feature flag in the Feature Flag Management API to hide the Next Steps panel on the Contract Details page. When this feature flag is enabled, it allows cloning standard actions and renaming them in the page header, as well as performing all operations through custom actions. By default, this feature flag is turned off, and the Next Steps panel is displayed for all contract records.

Email Notification to User or User Group

An email notification about the transfer of ownership is sent to the group members specified in the user or user group. For more information, see Contract Fields and Submitting a Document Generation Request.
