You need to manually configure PDF/A as a document output format only if you upgrade to Summer '21 release or a later release. You need to add the PDF/A document output format in the Agreement Output Format object and the Allowable Output Formats field in the Agreement object.

To configure PDF/A as a document output format

  1. Go to Setup > Object Manager > Agreement > Fields & Relationships > Allowable Output Formats.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter PDF/A and click Save.
    When you navigate to the Agreement Detail page and edit the Allowable Output Formats field, you can see the PDF/A in the Available column.
  4. Go to Setup > Object Manager > Agreement Document Output Format > Fields & Relationships > Output Format.
  5. Click New.
  6. Enter PDF/A and click Save.
  7. Go to the Agreement Document Output Formats tab.
  8. Select a profile from the Select Profile drop-down list.
  9. Click Edit.
  10. Select the PDF/A radio button for an Agreement Type according to your requirement.
  11. Click Save.
    When you generate an agreement, regenerate an agreement, or generate a supporting document, you can see PDF/A as an output format option.
