How to add a new template to a solution record in Solution Manager.

If the template you want to use for the solution is not yet saved in Salesforce, you can add it in Solution Manager. You must have a solution record created and open. Additionally, you should have a template file already created.

To add a new template to a solution record in Solution Manager:

  1. In Solution Manager, click Add Templates. The Conga Solution Template screen appears.
  2. Click Create New Conga Template RecordThe Conga Template Edit screen appears.
  3. In the Name field, type a name for the template.
  4. (Optional) If the template is part of a group, in the Template Group box, type the name of the group.
  5. In the Template Type box, select the type.
  6. (Optional) In the Master Field to Set boxes, enter the master field, an equals sign, and the value for each of the master fields you want to set.
  7. (Optional) Select the Label Template: Use Detail Data box to use the report or query data as a data source for the template label. This option applies only if the Template Type field is set to Label.
  8. (Optional) In the Description box, type a description for the template.
  9. Click SaveThe Conga Template screen now appears. You can now attach a template to this template record. If you do not already have a template designed, Create a Template with the Template Builder.
  10. Click the Related tab on the new Conga Template record.
  11. Click Upload Files and select a file from your machine.
  12. Click Done once the file is uploaded.
  13. Navigate back to the Conga Solution Template screen.
  14. Click the refresh icon in the All Available Conga Templates box.
  15. Select the new Conga Template record and click Add Conga Template to Solution Record.
