How to configure Conga Batch to automate a solution via Conga Batch Record or a Salesforce List View Button.

The steps involved in configuring Conga Batch are listed below.

The first step in setting up a Conga Batch solution is to determine how you want to launch Conga Batch.

Choose how to launch Conga Batch (via the Conga Batch record or a Salesforce list view).

To Launch via a Conga Batch Record

  1. Determine which records to include in your batch by building a Salesforce report or SOQL query.
  2. Create a Conga Batch record.
  3. Convert a button or link to a Salesforce formula field using the Conga Formula Builder.
  4. Test your Conga Batch solution to ensure everything is working properly.
  5. Launch the Conga Batch solution from the Conga Batch record.
  6. Optionally, schedule the Conga Batch solution to run automatically at a designated and recurring date and time.

To Launch via a Salesforce List View Button

  1. Convert a button or link to a Salesforce formula field using the Conga Formula Builder.
  2. Create a List View button.
  3. Delete the Conga Batch record.

Because you are launching Conga Batch from a List View button, you only needed the Conga Batch record to access the Conga Formula Builder.

  4. Test your Conga Batch solution to ensure everything is working properly.
  5. Launch the Conga Batch solution from the List View button.

Conga Batch List View buttons utilize Javascript, which is not supported in Salesforce Lightning.
