Parameter Description: DocuSignR1Language specifies the email language for each DocuSign Recipient.

Conga recommends using Composer without background mode (&DS7=17) for translation with DocuSign.

When using the DocuSignR1Language parameter with &DS7=17 (background mode), DocuSign does not provide the translation. Administrators must provide the translated text as the values for each recipient's DocuSignR1Email and DocuSignR1EmailBlurb parameters.

  • Example of Translated Text when using DS7:
    &DocuSignR1EmailSubject=Contrato &DocuSignR1EmailBlurb=Por+favor+firme

For non-background mode solutions, administrators must add each language used with the DocuSignR1Language parameter in their DocuSign account by navigating to DocuSign Admin → Settings → Email Settings, to successfully translate the Email Subject and Email Body fields.

To translate fields other than the Email Subject and Email Body, such as the Review Document field, recipients must have their browser set to the intended language. For more information, see the related DocuSign customer help thread.

Warning: Due to an issue with DocuSign, you must select a different language and then re-select the intended language for each recipient on the DocuSign Envelope. This allows the Email Subject and Email Body fields to successfully translate.

This parameter has different a naming convention for Composer solutions &DS7=17. When using &DS7=17, use a hyphen instead of an underscore for country-specific language codes. For example, the naming convention for Spanish Latin America in a solution with &DS7=17 is es-mx, instead of es_MX.

This parameter can be used 24 times by changing the number after R. DocuSignR2, DocuSignR3, DocuSignR4, ... DocuSignR24.

You can specify a language parameter for each recipient you identified.
