There are two fields in the System dataset, available in the Conga Template Builder. These fields are provided by default (just like the Master, Org, and User datasets) to aid in template creation.
Today
The System.Today field will display today’s date and will not automatically update to the then-current today’s date any time the merged Word output file is opened in the future. If you do have that requirement, we suggest using Word’s date feature instead, which does automatically update each time the file is opened. Just like any other date field, this field can be formatted using date picture switches.

Now
