Whenever the Button URL in Progress is different from the Current Button URL, you can quickly update the current button to match the button in progress.

To update a button URL in Solution Manager:

Before you begin, you must have a solution record created and open.
  1. On the Solution Record screen, click Update Button.

Solution Manager copies the URL from the Button URL in Progress field to the Current Button URL field and adds an entry in the Button Archive area. The Button Archive section retains a history of all button URLs changed in Solution Manager.

Solution Manager is not bi-directional. While the Current Button Configuration in Solution Manager will always display the actual button configuration, any changes made directly in button URL will not update Solution Manager. Update Button in Solution Manager will override any changes made directly to the button URL.

If changes have been made directly to the button URL in Buttons, Links and Actions, an informative message appears when the record is accessed in Solution Manager:

This message serves as an indicator that the button URL has changed outside of the Solution Manager. This message disappears after the button has been updated in Solution Manager.
