Generating Quotes
The Generate action is now always available, allowing you to generate quote documents at any stage of the quote lifecycle. This is the default behavior which you can customize if required.
Custom Stage Control (Optional): If your organization requires the Generate action only at specific quote stages (such as 'Approved', 'Generated', or 'Presented'), you can define custom visibility rules by cloning the default layout and updating the JSON metadata in the CPQ Web application's "action-panel-config_rule1" variant. The Page Type is List and Entity Type is Quote.

- Click Generate to open the generate document pop-up window.
- Click the checkbox next to the required template name.
- Select the document format. The supported formats are Docx, PDF, and PDF/A.
- Click Include Watermark to include a watermark on the generated document.
- Select Update Stage to Generated to update the quote stage to Generated.
- Click Generate.
The quote document is generated and can be found in the Documents section available under the RELATED LIST.
You can now present the quote you generated.
