Quotes Comparison Overview
The Compare Quotes feature in Conga CPQ enables sales representatives to select and compare two to five quotes side-by-side directly from the quote list view in the CPQ Modern UI. This feature provides a structured format for evaluating key quote details, pricing, and product configurations across multiple quotes, with differences visually highlighted to facilitate faster, more informed decision-making. By centralizing comparison in a single view, the feature helps reduce sales cycle time, simplifies option evaluation for customers, and surfaces upselling opportunities that may otherwise be missed when quotes are reviewed individually.
Key Concepts
Quote Selection and Comparison: The compare action is available as a bulk action in the quote list view. The action activates only when two or more quotes are selected (up to a maximum of five). The Compare Quotes page displays key quote details, pricing, and product configurations for the selected quotes. Differences between quotes are visually highlighted.
Line Item Comparison: The Compare Line Items functionality enables comparison of line items across up to five quotes. The comparison includes the fields mentioned in the table below. Support is available for bundles, sub-bundles, options, and ramp lines. Results are based on the latest active cart associated with each quote. Hierarchical display of product-option structures (two-level product-option hierarchies are supported).

- A minimum of two quotes and a maximum of five quotes can be compared at a time.
- Duplicate or invalid quote IDs are rejected.
- Multiple level of product-option hierarchies are supported in line item comparison. It supports Bundle, options, subbundle, subbundle-options, standalone products as the product column.
- Comparison is performed on the latest active cart associated with each quote.
- Comparison of multiple carts within a single quote is not supported.
