Use Case: Configuring Category Visibility
To display the category whose name starts with Hardware

Fill in the information as explained below.
Field Name
Description
Name
Enter a name for the visibility rule.
Filter Type
Select Category.
Business Object
Select Category Hierarchy.
Value Object
Select Product Configuration or User if you want to define inclusion criteria.
Sequence
Enter 1 as the sequence number.
Description
Describe the visibility rule.
Active
Select the toggle button to activate the visibility rule.
Filter Criteria
Click expression icon(
). Click Add New Criteria. Fill in the following information to define an inclusion rule.

- Enter 1 in the Row Num.
- Select Name as a Field.
- Select starts with as an Operator.
- Specify desired category name as a Value. For example Hardware.
Click Save.

CPQ displays only the categories that satisfy the criteria in the visibility rule on the Catalog page.
