System Requirements and Supported Platforms

For requirements and recommendations to consider before installing the Conga product suite, see the System Requirements and Supported Platforms Matrix.

New Features and Enhancements

The following features are new to Conga CPQ in this release.

Export Records in a table

This feature enables you to select records displayed in a table format on the UI and download them in either CSV or Excel format. The downloaded file maintains the same fields and their sequence as displayed on the UI. This feature is available on the Product Details page while associating option groups with a product. And is also available on the Promotions page to export the records.

For more information, see  Associating Products with an Option Group and Exporting Promotions.

Allow Deletion of Root Option Group in Product

This enhancement enables you to disassociate the root option group from a bundle without deleting the option group.

For more information, see Associating Option Groups with a Product.

Support of Asset Change Operation on Conga platform from Order API

ChangeAction API is supported on Conga Platform from Order API for the assets that are created on the platform. You can change the quantity, selling term, pricing (with or without asset pricing), asset attributes, upgrade or downgrade assets, and basic field changes for standalone and bundle options.

Mini Cart with Fractional Quantities

Mini Cart now displays fractional quantities accurately, matching the quantities set in the cart.

Is Editable Flag for Price Points is Removed

In this enhancement the “Is Editable“ flag for price point is removed. The ismodifiable flag is set to True via the API and the “Is Editable” option on the UI is not displayed. This change ensures that all price points are consistently editable.

For more information, see Creating Price Waterfall Charts.

Custom Dimension Validation in Price Dimension (API)

The Custom Dimension Validation in Price Dimension feature allows you to manually input a dimension field for lookup fields as dimensions. You can select "Custom" as the context type, which sets the business object field to "Line Item" (read-only). A text input field is provided for specifying the lookup field using dot notation. The API validates the syntax to ensure the lookup starts from the line item field and supports up to 5 levels of reference. The fields available for custom context selection include Dimension Name (mandatory), Business Object (read-only), Field (Text - mandatory), Type, and Description.

For more information, see Create Price Dimension.

Asset Renew API to Support Skip Configuration and Pricing

A new Asset Renew API is added to support skip configuration and pricing while renewing assets. The API has an additional parameter, useAssetPrice=true. If the flag is set to true then the renew response contains start date, end date which is calculated using the term, and existing asset pricing information. Config Status and Pricing Status are shown as Skip. When the line items are added to the cart, then Config Status and Pricing Status are shown as Complete. The line status is the same as in the regular Renew. The renewed assets start date should be current asset end date +1. The renewed assets end date should be calculated based on the renewed start date and the asset term.

Price Waterfall Display Column Setting Seed Data (API)

The Price Waterfall Display Column Setting provides you with predefined columns as seed data for the Price Waterfall feature. The included columns are Price Element, Type, Adjustment Percentage, Gross, and Per Unit. These columns ensure that essential price-related information is readily available and organized.

For more information, see Retrieve column displays associated with a flow.

Match in Assets (Exclusion) - Option Group

Administrators can create exclusion rules based on existing assets, enabling actions like Message, Hide, Disable, Check on Finalize, and Prompt within an Option Group.

For more information, see Config Features.

Match in Assets (Inclusion) - Option Group

Administrators can create inclusion rules based on existing assets, enabling actions like Auto-Include, Prompt, Message, and Check on Finalize within an Option Group.

For more information, see Config Features.

Suspend and Resume Assets from the Installed Products Page

Suspend and Resume operations are available on the Installed products page UI on Conga Platform. When you suspend an asset, you can provide the start and end date. When you resume a suspended asset, the start and end date must be provided again. No changes are made to the pricing.

Support for Flat Option Price in Runtime Pricing and Cart Response

The Pricing Engine now supports the 'Flat' option price method within bundles and the Cart response includes this price type.

Change Price List on Product Configuration

POST\api\cart\v1\carts{CartId}\reprice API allows sales representatives to switch price lists and currencies within a quote or proposal, automatically repricing items without requiring a full reconfiguration of the cart.

For more information, see Reprice cart items.

Syncing Deal Guidance Object and Fields Mappings

The data synchronization of Deal Guidance objects and field mappings from Salesforce to the Conga Platform has been included as seed data. Therefore, manual mapping is no longer required.

Reprice Cart with Runtime API

The POST/api/cart/v1/carts/{CartId}/reprice API allows for repricing the entire cart based on the latest configuration without modifying the pricing status of lines. It supports updates for list prices, price rules, currency rates, and more.

For more information, see Developer Portal.

Horizontal Attribute Group View in Config Setting

The Horizontal Attribute Group View custom setting allows attribute groups to be displayed horizontally, maximizing space utilization. When enabled, attribute groups fit as many as possible in a single line before moving to the next. This setting is found under Config Settings under Global Settings, with a default value of false. When set to true, attribute groups are shown in multiple columns based on screen width and resolution, and can accommodate up to four attributes in a single row.

For more information, see Config Settings

Enable Ramp Creation for Recurring and Usage Price Types

This feature enables you to create Price Ramps for price type Usage. With this update, when 'Enable Ramp Creation' is set to TRUE, you can create Price Ramps when the price type is Usage and Recurring. This ensures that the validation process restricts ramp creation to only these two price types, preventing any other price types from being used when 'Enable Ramp Creation' is enabled. The feature was enabled for Recurring price type in an older release.

For more information, see Create Price Lists.

Info Popover in Product Association List

If there is no information to display in the product association list, the info icon will be removed from the list. The hover effect inside the popover content and header area will be eliminated.

For more information, see Managing the Products.

Update Modal Heading to 'New Product'

This enhancement ensures consistency between the button text and the modal heading in the CPQ Admin UI. When you click 'Create New', the modal that appears should have the heading 'New Product' instead of 'Add New Product'.

For more information, see Configuring the Products.

Translate Error Messages on Catalog User Interface

The language of the error messages on catalog, config, and cart pages is now automatically translated based on the user's locale.

Price Ramp, Usage Tier, Multiple Adjustment, and Apply Promotion Disabled on Canceled Line Items

If assets are purchased and terminated, then actions such as usage tiers, apply promotions, ramp line, and multiple adjustments are not allowed. The canceled line items are read-only, and all pop-up features are disabled. The wrench icon is disabled for canceled lines.

Match in Assets Flag for Constraint Rules

This feature introduces the "Match in Assets" flag to the Admin UI, enabling you to create constraint rules that match assets. This functionality supports specific up-sell, cross-sell, or renewal business logic. The "Match in Assets" flag is available in the actions for Inclusion and Exclusion rule types, and is set to False by default.

For more information, see Configuring a Constraint Rule Using the Advanced Rule Setup.

Associate Feature Set to a Product with Reorder Feature

This enhancement allows you to associate feature sets and reorder them as needed to ensure the correct sequence for comparison.

For more information, see Associating Feature Sets with a Product.

Clone Price List

This feature enables you to clone Price lists. When cloning a Price list, by default, the Price List Name is set as <Clone-The price list name from which you have cloned> and all the field values are similar to the cloned price list.

For more information, see Managing Price Lists and Configuring the Price Lists.

Fixed Issues

The following issues are fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.

Case NumberConga Internal IDDescription
NACPQ-83205

The Finalize button stayed active despite unresolved validation messages, misleading users. After pricing, exclamation marks for validation issues disappeared, making it unclear which items needed correction.

00890043CPQ-82603

While configuring nested bundle products, the PricingPending icon appears for all line items, and line-item details are blank. This issue is observed randomly and can be temporarily resolved by refreshing the page.

NACPQ-82512

The Salesforce schema Apttus_WebStore_ChannelType_c is not required in the Conga Platform. However, it is mapped to the Channel and marked as required on the Conga Platform. Due to this, the data sync from Salesforce to the Conga Platform fails when there is no value in the field.

HEH-439CPQ-77505

Encountered "Product no longer available" issue when quickly accessing the cart after adding a bundle or standalone product, or when changing quantities. Refreshing resolved it, but repricing stalled without refresh.

HEH-484CPQ-77389

Product feature values can be configured without data in the ProductFeature object, but syncing featureset records to OpenSearch fails due to the ProductFeature object being a dummy with no data. The issue arises because ObjectMapping auto-generates ProductFeature records when ProductFeatureValue records are created.

Known Issues

The following unresolved issues are known to Conga at the time of this release.

Conga Internal IDDescription
CPQ-83635

The catalog page displays an internal server error when you try to navigate the last page while adding the products.

CPQ-83630

When configuring a product, trying to view its details results in the error: "An unknown error has occurred. Please try again later."

CPQ-83437

Performance issue identified: Bundled product recommendations with matching options are causing average load times of 6-10 seconds.

CPQ-82025

When you refresh or apply the filter, the products added to the cart are not displayed on the catalog page.

CPQ-79148

The ExpandedByDefault field must be set to True to auto-expand options under an OptionGroup, leading to the need for data adjustments after synchronization.
