To create a guidance rule

  1. Go to ADMIN SETUP> Pricing Administration > Deal Guidance > Guidance Rules. The Guidance Rules page is displayed.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Enter the following details:

    Rule NameEnter a name for the guidance rule.
    SequenceEnter the sequence for the rule.
    Guidance TypeSelect a type of guidance that controls which values are available on the Business Object drop-down. Supported value is Line Level, which means the guidance is based on a field at the line-item level.
    Is ActiveToggle-on to make the rule active.
    Business ObjectSelect a business object for the guidance rule. The options on the Business Object drop-down depend on the Guidance Type selection. This must match the object you plan to use the deal guidance for. Supported value is LineItem.
    Dimension SetSelect the Dimension set.
    MeasureSelect the measure.
    Currency ScopeSelect the currency for the rule.
    DescriptionEnter a brief description of the guidance rule.
  4. Click Save.

To delete a guidance rule

  1. Go to ADMIN SETUP> Pricing Administration > Deal Guidance> Guidance Rules. The Guidance Rules page is displayed.
  2. Click the ellipsis icon  next to the guidance rule name and click Delete. The Delete Deal Guidance Rule pop-up is displayed.
  3. Click Confirm.
