You can associate more than one product group with a product.

To associate a product group with a product

  1. Go to Admin Setup> Product Administration > Products > Click on a Product name.
  2. On the Product Details page, click the setup icon in the Product Groups section. The Product Groups page is displayed. Under Available Product Groups, you can see all product groups available in the org.
  3. In the Search Product Group field, enter keywords to search the product group you want to associate with the product and click the search icon or press Enter.
  4. Hover the mouse on the required product group and click + next to the product group name. The product group is associated with the product and is displayed in the Associated Product Groups section (right-hand side).

  5. Create a Product Group:

    • If the desired product group does not exist, click Create New Product Group under the Available Product Groups page.
    • The New Product Group page will be displayed.
    • Follow the steps in Creating a Product Group to configure the new product group.
    • After configuring and saving the new product group, return to the Associated Product Groups page.
    • Search for the newly created product group as described in step 3 and associate it with the product.
  6. To delete an associated product group from the product:
    1. Hover the mouse on the required product group under the Associated Product Groups section (right-hand side) and click the delete icon for the product group name. A pop-up is displayed prompting you to confirm deletion.
    2. Click Confirm.
  7. Under the Associated Product Groups section (right-hand side):
    1. Click the product group name link. The product group details pop-up is displayed.
    2. Click Close.
