Matrices Search

You can narrow down the matrices list using the search feature. You can either define search criteria to search for a range of matrices or use the matrices search option.

You can search for a matrices using keywords. For example, you can search using the name of the matrix. 

  1. In the Search this list field, enter a keyword related to your matrix details such as matrix name.
  2. Click the search icon  or press Enter. CPQ returns all matrices that contain that keyword in the matrices names.

Sorting Matrices

You can sort the matrices list by clicking the column names. The matrices are sorted alphabetically in ascending order using the matrice name. Every time you click the column name, the sorting switches between ascending and descending order. You can adjust the column width by dragging the columns. Hover near the column boundaries till two-way arrow appears. Click when the arrow appears and drag left or right to adjust the column width.

Items per page

At the bottom of the page, you can see the total count of matrices available. You can control the number of matrices to be displayed on each page. You can select the number of matrices from a predefined list. You cannot configure this list. By default, you see 20 records on each page.

By default, you can sort 10, 20, 30, 50, and 100 matrices per page using the Rows per page drop-down. This feature works in association with the search and filter functions to display search records per page. You can use the < and > buttons to move to the next or the previous pages. You can also jump to a certain page using the page search component.

  1. Go to ADMIN SETUP > Pricing Administration > Price Lists. The Price Lists page is displayed.
  2. Click the required price list name link to open the Price Lists details page.
  3. Click the Price List Items tab. 
  4. Click the advanced setup icon next to a price list item name. The price list item details page is displayed.
  5. Click the Metrices tab.
    • If there are existing metrices, you can perform the following actions on the list of metrices:
      1. Click Create New. The Create New Matrix pop-up is displayed. Go to Step 6.
      2. Click the required price matrix name link to open the price matrix details page. You can create price matrix entries. For more information, see Configuring Price Matrix Entries.
      3. Rearrange the sequence of matrices using the icon.
      4. Click the ellipsis icon for the matrix and click Delete.
        • If there are no unsaved changes, the Delete Price Matrix pop-up is displayed. Click Confirm.
        • If there are unsaved changes, the a pop-up is displayed prompting your confirmation. Click Discard ChangesThe Delete Price Matrix pop-up is displayed. Click Confirm.
    • If there are no metrices created, click Create New on the required matrix type.
      1. Dimension: You can enter a maximum of six dimensions, which bring in attributes from the line items or headers of any data type within the Conga Platform to be used in pricing.
      2. Condition: You can create conditions using multiple fields of a line item or product attribute with Boolean logic such as AND/OR.
      3. Usage: If the Price Type is "Usage" on a price line item, the Matrix Type should also be "Usage" while creating a price matrix. CPQ supports only this combination.
        The Create New Matrix pop-up is displayed.
  6. Enter the following details:

    SettingDescription
    Matrix NameEnter a name for the matrix.
    SequenceEnter a sequence number for the matrix.
    DescriptionEnter a description for the matrix.
    Enable Date Range

    Turn this setting on to enable the start and end date for price matrix to execute.

    If you enable this, you must enter Start Date and End Date while creating price matrix entries.

    Stop Processing More MatricesTurn this setting on to stop CPQ from evaluating further matrices if a match is found within this matrix.
    Select Matrix Type

    Select a matrix type. Supported values are:

    • Dimension
    • Condition
    • Usage
  7. Enter the following details under the Dimensions section if you select Dimension under Select Matrix Type.
    1. Dimension: Select a dimension. 

      When you hover over the info icon beside Dimension Name, it will show the basic information in a pop-up. If you click more info, it will navigate you to the respective dimension.

    2. Dimension Value: Select a value for the dimension. Supported values are:
      • Discrete
      • Range
      • Cumulative Range
      • Weighted Range
      • Cumulative Range - Line Item
    3. Click Add Dimension to add a dimension. You can select a maximum of six dimensions.
    4. Click the delete icon  to delete a dimension. If there is only one dimension, you cannot delete it.
  8. Click Save.
