You can create an attribute as per your business requirements.
To create an attribute
Go to ADMIN SETUP > Product Administration > Attributes. The Attributes page is displayed.
Click the Create Newdrop-down button and clickAttribute. The New Attribute page is displayed.
On theData Type drop-down, select a data type.
Data Type
Description
String
Allows users to enter any text. The default length is 2000.
Int
Allows users to enter any number. Leading zeros are removed.
Double
Allows users to enter any number. Leading zeros are removed.
Currency
Allows users to enter any number. Leading zeros are removed.
Boolean
Allows users to enable or disable a checkbox.
Date Time
Date Time description here.
Lookup
Allows users to search for entries that belong to another object. For the Lookup data type, you must select the object from the dropdown in the Object Related To field.
Picklist
Allows users to select a value from a list you define.
Multi Picklist
Allows users to select a value from a list you define.
In theAttribute Namefield, enter a name for the attribute.
TheDisplay Namefield is populated automatically based on the attribute name you enter. Change it if required.
In theDescriptionfield, enter a description for the attribute.
In theDefault Valuefield, enter a default value for the attribute. If you selectData Typeas Picklist or Multi Picklist, you must select the default value from theDefault Valuedrop-down.
The Default Valuewill be defined by adding theList Values.
Turn theIs Requiredsetting on to make this attribute as a required attribute.
Click Save. to save this attribute or Save & Create New to save this attribute and create another attribute.
To discard your changes:
Click Discard Changes. The Alert pop-up is displayed prompting you to confirm discard.
