You can delete Option groups that are no longer required.
Deleting an Option Group
When deleting an root or child option group, if one or more products are associated with the option group, it cannot be deleted, and a validation error is triggered. However, if no products are associated, the behavior depends on the deleteHierarchy query parameter. If deleteHierarchy is set to true, the option group along with all its children should be deleted. If the parameter is set to false or not passed at all, the option group are deleted, and separate hierarchies should be created for all immediate children.
Deleting a Product Option Group
For the deletion of a product option group (Root or Child, Standalone or Shared), the entire product option group and its children should be removed, along with all corresponding product option components. The parent product option group of the deleted group should then derive its IsLeaf value solely from the corresponding option group. This deletion process does not affect the corresponding option group or other product option groups.
