After generating a proposal document, it is presented to the trading partner. The system sends an email with the generated proposal attached. If the email is sent, the Approval Stage will automatically be set to Presented. If you prefer to print or present the Quote a different way, you can manually set the Approval Stage to Presented.
Before you present the quote to the trading partner, you can send the proposal for review for either internal or external validations.
To present a quote or proposal for review
The Approval Stage must be in the Generated stage.
Open the proposal.
Click the vertical ellipsis icon next to the Generate button.
Click Send for review to view a list of generated documents.
Select the required documents from the list and click Next to open the Review and Send page.
Enter the recipient's email IDs, Email Subject, and Email Message (optional) as required.
Click Add Attachments to add other supporting documents, if any.
Click Send.
You must add contact details to the Account to present a quote.
The email is sent and the Approval Stage status changes to Presented. The Accept button is enabled.
After the quote has been accepted by the trading partner, click the Accept button available next to the Generate button.
To preview and submit a quote or proposal
The Quote Approval Status must be Not Submitted or Approval Required.
Open a proposal.
Click the vertical ellipsis icon next to the Generate button.
Click Preview & Submit to review the details in the Preview tab.
Click the Attachments tab to review the attached documents.
Click Submit, enter an appropriate comment in the Approval Notes popup. Click Submit.
The quote is sent for approval and the status changes to Pending Approval.
