You can associate more than one option groups with a product. You can add a root option group to a bundle product.

To associate option group with a product

  1. Go to Admin Setup> Product Administration > Products > Click on a Product name.
  2. On the Product Details page, click the setup icon  in the Option Groups section. The Option Groups page is displayed.
  3. Click Add Option Group. The Add Option Group to Product pop-up will be displayed where you can see all option groups available in the org.
  4. In the Search Option Groups field, enter keywords to search the option group you want to associate with the product and click the search icon or press Enter.
  5. Select the checkbox beside Option Group name. The option group is associated to the product. You can associate one, or more option groups to the product by selecting multiple checkbox.

  6. Export the Associated Option Groups

    The mass action feature allows you to export the selected coupons in one instance.

    • Click the checkbox beside Option Group Name column. You can select one option group, multiple option groups, or all the option groups.
    • Click the export () icon to export the selected option groups as CSV or Excel file format.

    The file gets downloaded to your local storage.

  7. To remove an associated option group from the product:
    1. Click the ellipsis () icon for the required option group and click the Remove. The Remove Option Group pop-up is displayed prompting you to confirm deletion.
    2. Click Confirm.
  8. Under the Add Option Group to Product pop-up:
    1. Click the option group name link. The option group details page is displayed.
  9. To Configure Option Groups:
    1. Click the option group name tab. The Configure Option Group detail page appears.
    2. Enter the following option group information, as required.

      Min Options

      Enter the minimum options that needs to be required for the option group in order to associate it to the product.

      Max OptionsEnter the maximum options that needs to be required for the option group in order to associate it to the product.
      Min Total QuantityEnter the expression for minimum total quantity using the field and function feature provided.
      Max Total QuantityEnter the expression for maximum total quantity using the field and function feature provided.
      Modifiable TypeSelect whether you need a Variable or a Fixed value.

      Is Hidden

      Toggle on or off accordingly.

      Is Picklist

      Toggle on if the options are picklist.
  10. To configure Option:
    1. Click the option name under the option group name tab. The Configure Option detail page appears.
    2. Enter the following option information, as required:

      Min Total QuantityEnter the expression for minimum total quantity using the field and function feature provided.
      Max Total QuantityEnter the expression for maximum total quantity using the field and function feature provided.
      Default QuantityEnter the expression for default quantity using the field and function feature provided.
      Config TypeSelect the Inline or New page from the drop-down option.
      Is DefaultToggle ON or OFF to make default.
      Is RequiredToggle ON to make it required.
      Quantity ModifiableToggle ON to allow modify the quantities.
      Auto-update QuantityToggle ON to enable and apply the default quantity.
      Allow CloningToggle ON to allow cloning of the options.
  11. Click Save.


Sequencing the option groups

  • Administrator can define and save the sequence/order of option groups and product option groups.
  • Reordering is possible by moving groups up or down within the same hierarchy level.
  • Adding new groups appends them to the lowest level with sequence numbers incrementing accordingly.
  • Administrator can modify the sequence of an option group, then the sequence order on the config page is updated automatically. The Option group sequence only affect the sequence for the groups within their respective bundle levels.
