Attributes are used to associate certain features to a product. Examples of common attributes are color, size, weight, and more. Attributes are associated to a product either to drive pricing or simply stored for informational purposes against the line item for other purposes. Attributes are associated with products through attribute groups.
To create an attribute
Go to ADMIN SETUP> Product Administration > Attributes. The Attributes page is displayed.
Click the Create New drop-down button and click Attribute. The New Attribute page is displayed.
On the Data Type drop-down, select a data type.

String
Allows users to enter any text. Default length is 2000.
Int
Allows users to enter any number. Leading zeros are removed.
Double
Allows users to enter any number. Leading zeros are removed.
Currency
Allows users to enter any number. Leading zeros are removed.
Boolean
Allows users to enable or disable a checkbox.
DateTime
DateTime description here...
Lookup
Lookup description here...
Picklist
Allows users to select a value from a list you define.
MultiPicklist
Allows users to select a value from a list you define.
In the Attribute Name field, enter a name for the attribute.
The Display Name field is populated automatically based on the attribute name you enter. Change it if required.
In the Description field, enter a description for the attribute.
In the Default Value field, enter a default value for the attribute. If you select Data Type as Picklist or MultiPicklist, you must select the default value from the Default Value drop-down.
Turn the Is Requiredsetting on to make this attribute as a required attribute.
Click Save. to save this attribute or Save & Create New to save this attribute and create another attribute.
To discard your changes:
Click Discard Changes. The Alert pop-up is displayed prompting you to confirm discard.
Click Don't Save.
To delete an attribute
Go to ADMIN SETUP> Product Administration > Attributes. The Attributes page is displayed.
On the Attributes tab, search for the attribute you want to delete.
Click the ellipsis icon next to the attribute name and click Delete. The Delete Attribute pop-up is displayed.
