Creating the Price Waterfall

To create a Waterfall Chart

1. Go to ADMIN SETUP> Pricing Administration > Price Waterfalls > Price Waterfall. The Price Waterfall page is displayed.
2. Click the Create New button. The New Price Waterfall page is displayed.

   1. Enter the following details:

      Field	Description
      Waterfall Name	Enter a name for the Price waterfall.
      Sequence	Give a number sequence to the new Price waterfall. (Avoid duplicate sequence numbers. While the system doesn't enforce this restriction, if duplicates occur, random priority will be assigned within the identical sequences)
      Active	Toggle button to show whether the Price waterfall is active.
      Description	Enter a description for the Price waterfall.
      Effective Date	Select the date from which the Price waterfall will be active.
      Expiration Date	Select the expiration date for the Price waterfall. The date must be greater than the effective date if both are defined.

   2. Click Continue.

   3. You will be navigated to the Price Points screen.
      Add and define the sequence of price points to be used in waterfall. The List Price and Base Price are set by default, you can add other custom price points and set one of them as Net Price.

      1. Click the text box in the Price Point Name column and select the Custom Price Point from the list.
      2. Net Price: Define one of the Custom Price Point as Net Price, which will be used for downstream net price calculation. Move the slider to enable the Is net price option.
      3. Click the '+' icon to add more Custom Price Points.
      4. Click the delete  icon to delete the Custom Price Point.

      5. Click Create.

         

         • You can set one of the price points as the net price that is used for downstream integration (Billing, ABO, etc.) except list price and base price

         • Setting up one price point as net price is mandatory.

         • By default, Net Price is enabled for the first price point and will allow you to change to any other custom price point,

         • Turning on net price to any other price point will turn off the previously enabled net price.

   4. Under PRICE POINTS section, click icon and enter the following details:

      Field	Description
      Price Point Name	Select a price points from the list of price points created in the Waterfall Charts list page. The List Price and Base Price are added by default and cannot not be modified or deleted. You can create custom price points on the Waterfall chart list page by clicking Price Points button. You can see the list of price points on the Price points screen. To create a Price point Enter the name of the price point. Click Create. You will receive a success message on creation of a price point.
      Net Price	Enable and set one of the price points as the Net Price which is used for downstream integration (Billing, ABO, etc.). You cannot set the List price and Base Price as the Net Price. By default, Net Price will be enabled for the first price point. You can change it to any other custom price point.  Turning on the net price to any other price point should turn off the previously enabled because we can have only one net price enabled price point.
      Display Name	The "Display Name" feature allows you to create a custom label for the price point, which will be utilized on the waterfall chart to replicate the price point. By default, the display name will match the name of the price point.

   5. Click the delete icon  to remove a price point

   6. Click Create. 

      

      You can sequence the price points by moving the () icon. However, the net price and base price would be in it's default position.

   1. Waterfall Charts

      Details Section

      Click on the Waterfall Charts page. You will see the list of waterfall charts associated to the Price waterfall on the left panel or will be redirected to empty grid page with option to create new chart. You can resequence the charts by the drag icon. You can delete any waterfall chart from the chart list by clicking on the ellipsis icon  next to the chart name and click Delete.

   2. Under Waterfall Charts tab, click Create New or click Create New Chart on the left panel and enter the following details:

      Field	Description
      Chart Name	Enter the name of the waterfall chart.
      Sequence	Give a number sequence to the new waterfall chart. (Avoid duplicate sequence numbers. While the system doesn't enforce this restriction, if duplicates occur, random priority will be assigned within the identical sequences)
      Description	Enter a description for the waterfall chart. If you enter a description to a price waterfall chart, then the info icon will be associated to the Waterfall Chart's left panel.
      Is Active?	Toggle on if the waterfall chart is to be set active.

   3. Click Create.

   You can add the criteria using standard criteria model using fields of line item and product attributes.

   Manage Price Points section

   The manage price point will allow you to set the visibility restriction on price points. It is advised to refrain from eliminating intermediate price points.

   1. Price point restriction will have all the price point listed down as defined in the waterfall.

   2. By default, all the price points will be selected and user can deselect the price points which are not required for the respective chart.

   3. The Net Price tag will be defined with the associated price point.

   4. Is Editable: Enable the toggle if you wish to allow end users to modify the price point by adding manual adjustment. 

   Additional Information

   This section will allow you to select the line item fields which you want to display below waterfall chart as additional detail for the line item and make it editable if you want user to modify on the same page.
