For more information, see Creating a Direct Milestone Custom Plan.
Updating the Billing Header of the Products
Conga Billing now supports updating fields on the billing header due to the rolling up of the fee amounts resulting from the creation of new records under the billing header. The new records may be either created because of auto-renewal functionality, or new Billing Schedule Details (BSDs) introduced to adjust the miscellaneous charges. Also when the billing rule is changed during the renewal of a product or service, Conga Billing updates the Billing Rule field on the billing header and populates the Ready for Invoice Date field accordingly on the billing schedule records created for the renewal period.
For more information, see Updating the Billing Header Fields on Renewal.
Supporting Different Pricing Sources
Conga Billing provides you the flexibility to select the pricing source as an order line item or asset line item. Based on the pricing source chosen in the Billing Settings, the pricing information can be fetched either from the order line item or asset line item. If the pricing source is set to order line item, Billing fetches all the information, including the pricing information, to create the billing header, from the order line item. If the pricing source is an asset line item, during the creation of the billing header, Billing fetches the pricing information from the asset line item associated with the order line item.
For more information, see Managing Pricing Source.
Supporting Querying and Completion of Milestone Billing Schedule Details (BSDs)
Conga Billing now enables you to query the milestone-type BSDs using Order Line Item, Billing Header, or Billing Schedule Records as the filter criteria. You can complete the milestone for the desired BSD from the filter result.
