New Features

The following features are new to Conga CPQ on Conga Platform in this release.

Asset Restore API

The Restore API ensures that when users deselect and then re-select options within a bundle product, all the fields present in Asset Restore Field admin setting will be restored.

Asset Service Integration Support

  • The ABO platform supports the Asset Change: Quantity operation with co-term functionality, enabling users to adjust asset quantities individually without affecting the entire asset. This feature facilitates increasing or decreasing asset quantities, either on the same asset or by creating new ones, while maintaining existing assets unchanged and aligned with co-term assets.
  • The ABO platform includes functionality to restore asset values upon re-selection of cancelled option lines during changes on the Conga platform. This feature allows users to maintain the original asset attributes, including custom fields and quantities, when reselecting options within bundles. By defining specific fields in the custom settings AssetRestoreFields, users can ensure the restoration of desired asset values during re-selection processes on the configuration page. This enhancement applies across all ABO operations where users can deselect and re-select options, ensuring consistent behavior and preserving asset data integrity.
  • The ABO platform supports the Termination Callback for assets, allowing users to customize termination date validation and default dates for Termination and Swap operations. With the getAssetTerminationdate() method, users can  integrate and validate termination dates.

For more information, see Asset Features.

Price Waterfall - Card View

Administrators can now have a option to view Price Waterfalls in card format, with details like name, description, dates, sequence, and activation status. It can easily activate/deactivate, switch views, and delete with confirmation.

For more information, see Managing the Price Waterfall.

Managing Price Waterfall Rules

Administrators can view and manage Price Waterfall rules in the UI. They can easily access rule details, change sequence, and activate/deactivate rules from the listing.

For more information, see Creating a Price Waterfall Ruleset.

Rule Entries for Waterfall Rules

Administrators can define rule entries for Waterfall Rules, specifying conditions or dimensions, adjustment amount, and type. They can copy, view the number of entries, and save or discard changes.

For more information, see Creating Price Waterfall Ruleset Entry.

Enhancements

This section describes existing features that are changed in this release.

Line Items Per page for Cart and Installed Product Page

The Line Items Per Page setting allows product administrators to easily configure the number of line items displayed on both the Cart and Installed Products pages. By default, this value is set to 10, ensuring a consistent and efficient user experience. This is a part of General setting under Global settings.

For more information, see General Settings.

Add Option and Add Ramp Line on Order Line Item during Change Operation

The check out Order API facilitates the support of adding options and ramp lines to order line items during change operations, to transfer newly added items from cart to order and then to asset line items, maintaining accurate order and asset data within the system. After order activation, the newly added options and ramp lines are correctly copied from order line items (OLI) to asset line items (ALI), with all related fields such as Net price, Delta price, Base price, Asset TCV, start and end date, selling term, option price, and extended price displaying accurate values. All these entities—Order, OLI, and ALI—are created under the Account with Activated Status.

Remove Option and Ramp Line on Order & Asset Items during Renew Operation

The check out Order API enables the removal of options and ramp lines from order line items during renew operations, for transfer of removed items from the cart to order line items (OLI) and then to asset line items (ALI). After order activation, the removed options and ramp lines are correctly copied from OLI to ALI. All entities—Order, OLI, and ALI—are created under the Account with Activated Status, and cancelled options are displayed as Cancelled with IsActive=False. Fields such as Net price, Delta price, Base price, Asset TCV, start and end date, selling term, option price, and extended price accurately reflect their values.

Exclude Option Ramp Lines from Renewal Dates

The check out Order API for Platform ABO ensures that during the renewal process, cancelled option ramp lines do not inherit the renewal start and end dates. This prevents unnecessary charging for removed options within the renewed bundle. The correct propagation of dates to proposal line items, order line items, and asset line items is ensured.

Manage Charges by Disable Charge Type Totaling Setting

Sales representatives can manage charges by setting Config System Properties > DisableChargeTypeTotaling as TRUE, ensuring precise tracking without the creation of summary lines.

Formula Fields in the Usage Price Tier

Sales representatives can see their formula fields update automatically when they change or add usage price tiers.

Waterfall Adjustment: Selecting Adjustment Source as any Previous Price Point then the Targeted

Waterfall Adjustment enables the selection of any previous price points on the waterfall as the Adjustment Amount Source, relative to the target price point. This allows adjustments to be defined as part of any price point in the waterfall.

Waterfalls for Secondary Charge Line Items

Administrators can define waterfalls for secondary charge line items. This includes option rollup, auto adjustments, bundles, options, ramps, and sub-bundle roll-ups. This feature enhances understanding of price flow across different price points for all line items.

Support for Carts with 10,000 Items

CPQ on Platform now has support for processing carts with up to 10,000 items.

For more information, see Cart Features.

Parity with Salesforce behavior for Cumulative Range Matrix with Attribute Pricing

The behavior for Attribute Pricing with Cumulative Range Matrix has now parity with Salesforce Pricing.

Improved Charge Line Display with Disable Bundle Expansion Enabled

System displays multiple charge lines with 'Disable Bundle Expansion' enabled. This behavior includes hiding sub-bundle/option line items, displaying secondary charge lines, rollups, and ramps. Hidden items are priced but not included in mass updates.

Enhanced Price Waterfall Chart

  • Price point modifications in Waterfall reflect on the Waterfall chart, ensuring charts stay updated. Changes include sequence adjustments, net price definition updates, and display name changes.
  • Administrators can clone price waterfall charts, saving time by avoiding the need to create them from scratch. Cloned charts retain Price Waterfall ID, Chart Name, Sequence, Price Point Restriction, Line Item fields, and Criteria. They can also adjust the sequence of price points and add/remove Line Item fields during cloning.
