Cloning and Creating Custom Dashboards

As an administrator, you can clone existing dashboards, which duplicates all the charts and their configurations within the dashboard. You can then customize them to meet specific requirements and easily navigate organized dashboard collections. All modifications are saved in your tenants without impacting Out-of-the-Box (OOB) dashboards and reports.

Note:

If you want to create a dashboard from scratch, see Creating Custom Dashboards.

  1. Log in to the Conga Advantage Platform as an admin user.
  2. Click the App Launcher () icon from the top-left corner, go to Shared Apps, and select Reports & Dashboards.
  3. In the Company Reports section, select any of the OOB reports (such as, CLM Reports, CPQ Report, etc.) you want to clone.
  4. Click the More () icon for the Dashboard you want to clone and select Clone.
A new dashboard is created with the same name, a "Copy" suffix, and a Custom tag. Any existing tags from the original dashboard are retained.
    Note:

You can only clone non-admin dashboards. For example, dashboards under Audit and Access Reports, License Usage Report, and other admin dashboards cannot be cloned.

If you attempt to clone an admin dashboard, the application will display the following error message: "The Admin Dashboard is not allowed to clone."

  5. Click Dashboard Designer, then click Edit icon under the Actions column to edit the tag per your business needs.
Custom-tagged dashboards are listed under the My Reports section on the Reports & Dashboards home screen.
  6. Click EDIT DASHBOARD to update, create, or delete charts.
  7. Click the Delete icon on any chart to remove it from the dashboard.
  8. To add existing charts, on the right-hand side panel, navigate to the Charts tab, and drag and drop existing chart cards into your dashboard.
The Charts tab contains a list of all charts that you have access to (i.e., charts that you have created or a team member has shared ownership access).
  9. To build a new chart or modify an existing one, refer to the Creating Charts topic.
  10. Once you are ready with your dashboard and if you would like to make your dashboard available to other users, simply select Draft next to the title of your dashboard on the top left to change your dashboard to be in Published state.
The dashboard is now available for you and other users for data analysis and visualization.

You can continue editing dashboards and charts anytime to reflect evolving business requirements.
