Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to Approvals in this release.
Backup and Delegate Screen: Improved Date and Time Labels
The Backup and Delegate screen now features improved date and time field labels for better clarity and usability. All related warning, success, and error messages now reference the updated labels for clarity. Key label updates include:
- Effective Date to Effective From
- Expiration Date to Valid Till
- Cancellation Date to Cancellation At
Approval Center Performance Improvements
The Approval Center now loads approval requests and counts faster and displays them in the correct order when scrolling through a large number of records. With this improvement, the Approval Center can efficiently handle 100,000 or more approval requests.
Support for CPQ Cart Versioning
Approvals now supports cart versioning in CPQ. Approval requests are associated with their respective cart versions, allowing users to view and manage approval requests independently for each cart version.
Control Teams Notifications at Step and Rule Entry Level
Approvals supports Microsoft Teams notifications for approval requests in Standard, Child Process, and Sub Process steps. You can now control when and where users receive approval notifications in Teams. Configure Teams notifications using:
- Notification Type in Approval Flows > Standard Step
- Send Chat toggle in Rule Entries > Approvers Settings
The system sends Teams notifications only when the Chat Notification Type system property is set to Teams. If it is set to Off, the system does not send notifications, even if Teams options are enabled at the step or flow level. For more details, see Standard-Step Options and Modifying Rule Entries.
Fixed Issues
The following issues are fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.
| Case Number | Conga Internal ID | Description |
|---|---|---|
| - | CPQ-109141 | In the Advanced Criteria Builder, the Add Formula button remains disabled for Reference and Owner fields, which prevents administrators from configuring relationship criteria for these field types through the UI. |
| 00965964 | CPQ-107996 | The system does not trigger reminder emails when an approval rule sets Send Email to False during approval submission and an administrator or service hook later changes Send Email to True on the approval request. In the same scenario, the system correctly sends escalation emails, resulting in inconsistent behavior between reminder and escalation notifications. |
Known Issues
