Approval Custom Configs: Header Link and Clickable Display Fields

Approvers can now quickly access related records directly from the Header section on the Preview & Submit and My Approvals pages. You can configure a record header link that appears above the request title on these pages. To support this functionality, the following new fields have been added to Custom Config Settings:

• Header Link Field: Lets you select a field from the context object on which the Approval Flow is configured. The selected field appears as a clickable link above the record name.
• Object Details Link Path: Specifies the relative URL for the custom object based on the custom configuration settings. The system uses this path to construct the complete navigation URL at runtime.

Based on these settings, lookup-type fields configured as Display Header Fields or Display Fields now appear as clickable links in the Approval Details view. Additionally, hovering over user account fields displays the corresponding user account details inline.

Enhanced App Description for Conga Notifications for Teams

Enhanced the description of the Conga Notifications for Teams app to better reflect its full value beyond approvals. The updated description highlights how you can manage approvals and business workflows in one place. This improves clarity for users installing the app.

Submitter approval notifications

Submitters can now receive email and Microsoft Teams notifications when an approval flow reaches a final Approved and Rejected status. Administrators can enable or disable this capability using the new Enable Consolidated Notification on Approvals setting in Custom Configurations, and customize the email content using the Approval Email Template option in Notifications. The existing Enable Consolidated Email on Rejections setting is now renamed to Enable Consolidated Notification on Rejections.

Approval Center: Approve and Reject Comments Functionality

You can now provide comments when you approve or reject single or multiple approval requests from the Approval Center for all supported objects. The comment field is required only if your administrator configures approval or rejection comments as mandatory. For more information, see Approval Center.
