Enhancements

The following enhancements are new to Billing in this release.

Custom Plan Details View Restructuring

Conga Billing now provides a standardized, read-only Custom Plan Details view across all contexts — carts, transaction headers (Proposal, Agreement, Order), the Billing Header, and the Manage Custom Plans list view.

This enhancement provides a unified, high-level overview to review, verify, and audit custom billing plans before taking action:

  • Page Header: Displays three additional key plan metrics at a glance: Plan Type, Number of Installments, and Total Billable Amount.
  • The Details tab sections are rearranged for quick navigation.
    • Plan Header Details: It is the first section and dynamically displays:
      • Product Configuration and Proposal fields when user navigates from Quote or Cart.
      • Order field when user navigates from an order.
      • Agreement field when user navigates from an Agreement.
    • Installment Details: Moved below the Plan Header Details and displays the installment schedule grid.
    • Line Items: Moved below the Installment Details and displays paginated source line items from carts, proposals, agreements, or orders.

For more information, see Custom Plan Details.

Restricting Adjustment Approvals from Changing Billing Schedule Record Actual Fee Amount Sign

Conga Billing now enforces a rule that prevents approved adjustments from changing the sign of a Billing Schedule Record’s (BSR) Actual Fee Amount. The Actual Fee Amount is calculated from the total of its Fee-category Billing Schedule Details (BSDs). Adjustments can reduce the Actual Fee Amount to zero, but can’t change it from positive to negative or from negative to positive. If a bulk approval would violate this rule, the system rejects the approval for the affected BSR and displays an error message that shows the allowed adjustment range. This restriction applies only during the approval transition. It doesn’t affect adjustment creation, deletion, or other status changes, and it doesn’t apply to BSRs created from custom plans.

For more information, see Manage Adjustment Billing Schedules.

Fixed Issues

The following issues are fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.

When users attempted to edit a milestone-based custom billing plan configured with Based On set to Amount after billing generation, the system displayed the following validation error upon saving:Can't edit the Custom Plan. There's a mismatch between the Based On value on the plan header and user provided inputs at the plan line item level.

Resolution

The code is revised to remove the contradictory validation rules. Users can now edit these custom plans after billing generation without encountering the validation error.
