Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to CLM in this release.
Label Updates for Re-branding
The "Go to Discovery AI Document" button in contract NEXT STEPS panel is renamed to "Go to Discovery Agent". The "Q&A Agent" icon in the contract's right-side panel is updated to "Aime".
Obligation Fulfilment Menu Update
The Obligation Fulfilment menu is renamed to Manage Fulfilment to provide clearer navigation for contract users. For more information, see Submitting an Obligation for Fulfillment, Reviewing an Obligation Fulfillment, and Waiving an Obligation.
Email Notifications When Participants Are Added to a Conversation
When a participant adds a new participant to an existing conversation, the conversation owner receives an email notification if the action is performed by someone other than the owner. The newly added participant also receives a notification and gains access to the existing conversation thread. All notification emails are sent from the default organization-wide email address. For more information, see Managing Participants.
Policy-based Access Control for Legal Entity
Conga CLM now supports policy-based access control based on Legal Entity attributes, in addition to the existing Account Group and Contract Group controls. Administrators can define and manage reusable common attributes on the Legal Entity object and associate them with contracts and master data. These attributes work with existing RBAC permissions to control who can see and act on specific contracts and records, improving data protection while preserving current behavior.
When determining user authorization for contracts, the system evaluates both object-level and property-level permissions for the Legal Entity object. Configuring both object-level and property-level permissions is optional. If data security requirements require property-level control over CRUD operations, administrators can configure permissions at both levels. If property-level permissions are not configured, authorization behavior remains based solely on object-level permissions. For more information, see Creating a Common Attribute.
Common Attributes Management for Supplier Group and Legal Entity Group
Administrators can now create and maintain common attributes for Supplier Group and Legal Entity Group objects. Non-admin users require the Property Object Manager permission to access this feature. For more information, see Policy-based Access Control.
Bulk Update API for Agreement Line Items
You can now bulk update agreement line items using the new API endpoint {{PUT /api/clm/v1/contracts/{contractId}/{objectName}}}.
This enhancement allows you to update multiple line items within a contract in a single request, eliminating the need for individual update calls. The API supports all field data types, including both standard and custom fields, enabling updates for large volumes of agreement line items.
Data Extraction from Executed Contracts using Discovery Agent
The Executed Contract option for contract creation now includes a Use Discovery Agent toggle, allowing contract managers to extract metadata, clauses, and obligations from executed contracts.
Users enter key contract metadata and upload the contract document. If Discovery Agent toggle is enabled, the extraction takes place through Discover Agent with a default worksheet based on the contract type. Users must select relevant worksheet created or available for working with executed contracts. The contract record is created, and Discovery Agent extraction runs in the background, while users are redirected to the Documents tab to monitor progress.
This enhancement applies to contract creation from All Contracts, My Contracts, and Accounts, and is controlled by the Enhanced Authoring Flow feature flag and CLM Feature Management setting. For more information, see Importing an Executed Contract.
Rebate Programs and Price Programs Management from Contracts
Contract users can now access Rebate Programs and Price Programs directly from the left panel within contract records. From the listing view, users can search, sort, and filter associated programs, view programs, and perform bulk actions such as disassociation and download. They can also clone rebate or price programs directly from the list. Administrators can enable or disable program fetching through settings.
Supplier group field for Supplier request object
Add the Supplier group lookup field to the Supplier request object to enable grouping and categorization of suppliers for enhanced data security. This feature allows administrators to control user access to supplier records based on assigned contract groups.
Send for Review: Publish Task
Users can configure tasks to publish automatically when the Send for Review event occurs in the contract lifecycle. Tasks remain in draft status until the event triggers, ensuring assignees receive notifications only at the appropriate stage, and each task is published only once per event occurrence. For more information, see Creating a New Task for a Contract and Tasks Across Contract Lifecycle.
Role-Based Access Control for Conversations
Internal users can access contract-related conversations based on their assigned roles and object-level permissions assigned to them. Access to conversation threads, messages, and participants is governed by permissions on the ConversationThread, ConversationMessage, ConversationParticipant, DocumentMetadata, Contact, and User objects.
To open the Conversations page, users must have both View All and Read permissions on all these objects. These object permissions also determine whether users can create new conversation threads, reply to messages, edit or delete their own messages, add attachments, and view or manage participants
Object-Based RBAC for CLM Admin, Clause Library, and Data Sync
Implemented object-based RBAC across all menus in CLM Admin, Clause Library, and Data Sync modules. Non-admin users now see only the actions and buttons permitted by their assigned object permissions, such as the Template object, preventing unauthorized access to restricted features. For more information, see Roles and Permissions.
Search and Sort Conversations
Search threads by keyword, participant name, or context across all conversations or within a specific thread. View results with highlighted matches, filter by subject, content, or participant, and sort threads by newest or oldest activity. The search requires a minimum of three characters and supports partial matches, with results including both posts and replies. For more information, see Searching Conversations and Sorting Conversations and Messages.
Sales Dashboard for CLM
Access the Sales Dashboard to view key metrics such as contracts due for renewal, contract value by category and region, top sales contracts by revenue, and contracts pending signature. This dashboard enables Sales Managers to monitor the sales pipeline and prioritize contract activities. For more information, see CLM Report.
Canceled Status for Obligation Fulfilment Records
A new Canceled status is introduced for obligation fulfilments, which automatically updates fulfilments in Pending Fulfilment or Pending Review status when a contract is terminated, expired, or an obligation is inactivated during amendment and the amended contract is activated. The canceled fulfilments cannot be reverted to other statuses. For more information, see Obligation Fulfillment Lifecycle.
Aime Rebranding
The Copilot conversational AI product is now presented to users as a component of the Aime AI suite, and to administrators as Q&A Agent. See Aime Assistant and Conga Q&A Agent Administration for more.
Aime Prompt Buttons
Aime’s Q&A Agent now offers three buttons that load predefined prompts into the AI chat interface for queries against the currently visible document. The “Summarize key terms” button injects a standard prompt that summarizes the document. The Natural Language Q&A and Clause & Term Extraction buttons insert prompts defined by Conga into the conversational interface. See Asking Aime a Question, Asking Questions and Answers for more.
