Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to CLM in this release.
Increased File Upload Size Limit for Global Documents
Users can now upload Global Documents up to 200 MB, matching the maximum file size. The system displays a dynamic error message if a file exceeds the allowed size. For information, see Uploading a document to the repository.
Contract Request Team Member API Endpoints
Contract Request Team Member APIs allow users to add, update, retrieve, query, and remove team members for contract requests. These records are stored in the ContractRequestTeamMembers entity. The APIs enforce input validation and authorization, follow standard API practices, support role-based access, and ensure that team members are automatically carried over to the resulting contract record.
Dynamic Lookup Field Criteria by Layout for Agreement
This functionality enhances dynamic lookup filtering by allowing administrators to define layout-level criteria for Agreement lookup fields using the additionalCriteria property. This enables more granular, layout-specific filtering while continuing to support existing schema-level criteria. Duplicate conditions are handled automatically without errors. For more information, see Dynamic Lookup Filters for CLM Layouts.
Bulk Amendment Field Settings Admin APIs
Bulk Amendment Field Settings Admin APIs enable administrators to retrieve and manage fields eligible for bulk amendment operations, controlled by a feature flag. The endpoints /api/clm/v1/admin/bulk-amendment-field-settings and /api/clm/v1/admin/bulk-amendment-field-settings/allowed-fields return permitted agreement fields—prioritizing locked fields and excluding restricted ones based on the BulkAmendmentFieldConfiguration schema. These endpoints are not exposed in Swagger and are managed through schema configuration.
Document Link Functionality for Contracts with Multiple Documents
This feature ensures that contracts with multiple documents extracted via DAI display fully functional links for each document in Conga CLM, allowing users to open them directly from the contract record in a new tab without link failures.
Dynamics 365 Opportunity Request Type Support in Conga CLM
This enhancement is introduced as part of the Conga CLM–Dynamics 365 integration. The Request Type picklist field is now available on the Dynamics 365 Opportunity object, allowing sales users to specify whether an opportunity is a New Contract or an Amendment. The field appears in the Conga CLM Details section of the Opportunity page layout, is visible to all sales user profiles. The default value of this picklist is New Contract.
Contract Team Member Object Availability in Smart Search
The Contract Team Member object is now available as related object (via Contract) in Smart Search. This update enables users to search and filter contracts based on team roles defined in the Contract Team Members object, supporting more granular contract management and reporting.
Agreement Status Value Transformation for ETL Synchronization
The ETL process automatically maps the Cancelled status in CLM (Salesforce Contract Lifecycle Management ) to Canceled in RLP (Revenue Lifecycle Platform) (and vice versa), preventing sync failures caused by API name mismatches between the platforms.
Global Documents Feature Toggle
Global Documents functionality is managed through a feature toggle in CLM that controls access to a centralized repository for standard documents such as corporate policies and compliance certificates. When enabled, users can manage and associate global documents across multiple contracts without duplication, and the /api/drive/v2/files API along with related UI components adheres to this toggle. Additionally, global documents are excluded from the standard document upload dropdown, and all core application APIs in the corresponding controller are governed by this toggle. For more information, see CLM Feature Management.
Contract Amendment Error Handling for Inactive Email Templates
This functionality ensures contract amendments proceed even when the ContractLifeCycleNotification email template is inactive, by logging warnings instead of errors and skipping email notifications.
Obligation Notification Support for Supplier Contacts
The system sends a consolidated email notification to each supplier contact when a contract is activated, listing only the obligations assigned to them. Each supplier contact receives a single email per contract activation. Notifications are sent only for buy-side contracts where the accountable party is external and the assignee is a supplier contact. For more information, see Obligation Notifications.
Review Cycle Numbering in Microsoft 365 Review
The system now increments the review cycle number each time a new review is created in Microsoft 365 Review, accurately reflecting the current review cycle. This update enables users to track sequential review cycles, rather than displaying all as the first cycle.
Dynamic Assignee and Reviewer Lookup Based on Accountable Party
The obligation creation modal dynamically displays assignee and reviewer options based on the selected Accountable Party - internal or external. For internal parties, lookup fields show internal users or user groups, while for external parties, the assignee field displays only active supplier or account contacts, and the reviewer field remains limited to internal users or user groups. The "Print on contract" toggle defaults to off for internal and on for external accountable parties, but remains user-configurable. For more information, see Creating an Obligation.
Conga CLM Contract Manager Role and Permission Group
The Conga CLM Contract Manager role and its Permission Group are available out-of-the-box, enabling administrators to quickly assign them to users managing the contract lifecycle. The role provides broad access to key activities such as contract creation, negotiation, document generation, eSignature, and reporting, while restricting system administration and record deletion. Administrators can extend access by adding or cloning permission groups without modifying the default configuration. For more information, see Out-of-the-Box Roles.
Conga CLM Requester Role and Permission Group
The Conga CLM Requester role and its pre-configured Requester Permission Group are available out-of-the-box, allowing administrators to assign them to users who initiate and track contract requests. The role enables request creation, submission, note addition, and record/report viewing, while restricting access to negotiation, document generation, eSignature, and admin functions. Administrators can assign it as-is, extend access with additional permission groups, or clone it for customization without modifying the original setup. For more information, see Out-of-the-Box Roles.
Recycle Bin for Contract Documents
The Recycle Bin feature enables users to view and download soft-deleted contract documents. Access is role-based—users can see only their own deleted items, while administrators can view all records. Documents cannot be restored but can be permanently deleted. The system automatically purges deleted files after the retention period. For more information, see Deleting One or More Contract Documents.
Fixed Issues
The following issues are fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.
| Case Number | Conga Internal ID | Description |
|---|---|---|
| - | CONTRACTS-42350 | The Linked Contract field remains visible immediately after contract creation when the Hierarchy Type is null or standalone, despite configured visibility rules. The field becomes hidden only after a page refresh. |
| - | CONTRACTS-42126 | The Manage Contracts button does not appear on the Account or Opportunity ribbon in Microsoft Dynamics when using Conga CLM Platform Connector for Dynamics version 1.0.0.5 alongside CPQ Conga Advantage Platform Connector for Dynamics version 2.50. |
| NA | AIPLAT-6254 | AiMe (Q&A Agent) interprets long, structured prompts as jailbreak attacks and returns a safety guideline violation message, preventing legitimate business prompts. |
Known Issues
The following unresolved issues are known to Conga at the time of this release.
| Conga Internal ID | Description |
|---|---|
| AIPLAT-6237 | AiMe Search Agent on the Conga Platform does not return results for queries with a blank "Contract End Date" when the query continues from a previous context. |
