In these release notes, you can find enhancements and fixed and known issues for the CLM 202608.1.0 release. For documentation updates, see What's New in CLM Documentation.
This documentation may describe optional enhancements for which you have not purchased a license; therefore your solution or implementation may differ from what is described here. Contact your customer success manager (CSM) or account executive (AE) to discuss your specific enhancements and licensing.
Enhancements
The following enhancements are new to CLM in this release.
Migration from Staged Flow to Lifecycle Workflow
Administrators can migrate all staged workflows, including custom and out-of-the-box workflows, to the stateless Lifecycle Workflow using the migration configuration API. The migration moves all contracts that were created under specified staged workflow definitions to the lifecycle workflow. Contracts continue to function without interruption during and after the migration. For more information, see Migrating Contracts from Staged Workflow to Lifecycle Workflow.
Support for Additional File Formats in Uploading Contracts Document
The contracts document upload feature now accepts the additional file formats: bmp, eml, jpg, jpeg, log, ods, pptx, tif, xlsb, and xlsm. This update expands compatibility for document migration and storage. For more information, see Uploading a Document.
Lookup Field Filtering Based on Multiple Lookup Fields
The lookup field configuration now supports filtering a lookup field based on multiple parent lookup fields using the parentFields array, with filter logic determined by the AND or OR operator. If all parent fields have values, the filter applies as configured; if any parent field is blank, the filter logic adapts, skipping parent-based criteria for AND or ignoring blanks for OR, and applies only the additional criteria when necessary. Only one dependent lookup field is supported, and complex combinations of operators are not allowed. For more information, see Dynamic Lookup Filters for CLM Layouts.
Increased Precision and Scale for ProposedContractValue Field
The ProposedContractValue field now supports a precision of 15 and a scale of 2, enabling entry of larger contract values. This update removes previous restrictions and supports scenarios involving multi-year and high-value contracts.
Parent Designation in Contract Relationship Linking
The Contract Tree Structure view now supports explicit parent designation when linking contracts, allowing users to select which contract acts as the parent in the relationship. The hierarchy in the tree and reporting reflects the chosen parent-child relationship, and the system provides a warning if an existing parent contract is being overridden. For more information, see Contract Relationships.
Document Preview in In-Effect View
Users can now preview documents in In-Effect View before downloading. For more information, see Viewing Contract Documents.
Auto-Approval for Unilateral NDA Contract Requests
The system now automatically approves Unilateral NDA contract requests upon submission, eliminating the need for manual approver intervention. When a request meets the criteria, contract request type is ‘NDA’ and contract subtype is ‘Unilateral’, the approval process completes instantly, and the contract record is created with the assignee set to System admin by default.
Unilateral NDA Template Filter Rule Configuration
A template filter rule is seeded to automatically map the ‘Unilateral’ contract subtype to its corresponding legal template during document generation. The rule is active by default and filters templates where Contract Type is ‘NDA’ and Contract Subtype is ‘Unilateral’, ensuring the correct template is selected without manual intervention.
Unilateral NDA Legal Template Seeding
A pre-seeded legal document template for the Unilateral NDA contracts is now available, containing language specific to unilateral agreements without mutual or two-way clauses. The template includes four fields: Name, Account/Supplier, Description, and Term months, and is automatically associated when the contract type is ‘NDA’ and the contract subtype is ‘Unilateral’.
Conga CLM - Dynamics 365 Integration: Amendment Contract Navigation
After creating an amendment contract, the embedded experience automatically displays the new Amendment Contract record in edit mode, pre-populated with data from the original contract according to Amendment clonespec rules. A confirmation message indicates successful creation, and users can navigate back to the Opportunity Contract Listing or the Opportunity page as needed.
Conga CLM-Dynamics 365 Integration: Write-Back Error Monitoring and Notification
Workato administrators can gain visibility into write-back operation outcomes in a dashboard in Workato API Managment. The dashboard displays success and failure rates, detailed error logs, and contract-specific diagnostics. The system automatically retries transient failures and sends email notifications with error details when retries are exhausted, while retaining a 90-day historical log for troubleshooting. Manual retry options are also available for failed operations to support issue resolution.
Conga CLM-Dynamics 365 Integration: Executed Agreement Document Write-Back
Conga CLM now automatically writes back the fully executed contract PDF to the Files tab of the related Opportunity record in Microsoft Dynamics 365 when the contract reaches the Fully Signed status. This enhancement enables sales team to access signed agreements directly from Dynamics 365 without navigating to Conga CLM. For more information, see Viewing the Executed Document for an Opportunity.
Conga CLM-Dynamics 365 Integration: Contract Data Write-Back to Opportunity Records
Conga CLM synchronizes key contract information to the Conga CLM Details section of the related Opportunity record in Microsoft Dynamics 365. Data synchronization occurs when contract data is changed in CLM and the contract is in Request, In Authoring, In Signatures, In Filing, or In Effect status. This synchronization ensures that the latest contract information is available on the related Opportunity record without requiring users to navigate to Conga CLM. For more information, see Viewing Contracts for an Opportunity.
Additional Columns in Selected Documents During Send for Review and Send for Signature
The Selected Documents section in the Send for Review and Send for Signature process now displays the Document Type, Action, and Status columns, enabling users to identify and select the appropriate document when multiple documents are present. For more information, see Negotiating a Contract and Finalizing a Contract.
Conga CLM Read Only Role and Permission Group
The Conga CLM Read Only role and its Permission Group are available out-of-the-box for administrators to assign view-only access to contract records and reports. Users with this role can view, search, and download contract documents, while all create, edit, action, and administrative permissions remain restricted. Administrators can assign this role directly, add additional permission groups for expanded access, or clone the permission group to create custom variants without altering the default configuration. For more information, see Out-of-the-Box Roles.
Image and Table Support in Conversation
The Rich Text Editor and Details screens in Conversations now support inserting and displaying images and tables. Participants can view images and formatted tables in conversation threads, including replies sent from email clients. For more information, see Creating a Post and Replying to a Post in the Application.
Fixed Issues
The following issues are fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.
| Case Number | Conga Internal ID | Description |
|---|---|---|
| - | CONTRACTS-43190 | Incorrect count is displayed on the Team menu label for contracts. The count is now displayed on the click of Team menu item. |
| - | CONTRACTS-42974 | Dynamic Lookup Filters in CLM layouts fail when the page configuration name contains spaces or when the target object has a reference data type, causing the UI to send the name instead of the ID in the additional search parameter, which prevents proper filtering of results. |
| NA | CONTRACTS-42943 | Clicking the Generate button immediately after creating a contract via the Manage Contract button skips the template selection screen on the initial attempt. Closing and reopening the screen allows the templates to load correctly. |
| NA | AIPLAT-6320 | Search Agent does not return the desired results on the first attempt when users search using first-person queries such as "all my recent contracts list." |
