Setting Up Conga CLM

Post-installation Settings

After installing Conga CLM, configure Admin Entries and Comply System Properties.

Creating or Verifying Admin Entries

Admin Entries are system properties that define the functionality of Conga CLM. Refer to Admin Entries to configure all settings for your implementation.

  1. Click the App Launcher () icon.
  2. Search and select Admin.
    This displays the Admin tab with a list of all out-of-the-box admin entries.
    Tip: If necessary, update the Salesforce list view to All instead of Recently Viewed.
  3. To create a new admin entry, click New.
  4. Enter the name, value, and code for the admin entry.
  5. Click Save.
The new admin entry is saved and added.

Configuring the Comply System Properties Settings

Comply system properties describe the configuration of the working environment and allows you to customize your system settings. Use custom settings to create and manage custom data at the organization, profile, and user levels.

Refer to Comply System Properties to learn more about all settings.

  1. In Salesforce Setup, search and select Custom Settings in the Quick Find box.
  2. Click Manage next to the Comply System Properties and click New.
  3. In Name, type System Properties as the data set name.
    Note: The name must exactly match System Properties for Conga CLM to function properly.
  4. Enter all required details and click Save.
You have configured the comply system properties settings.

Agreement Number Indexing

It is possible to create a large enough number of agreement records in your Salesforce environment, which may trigger a Salesforce SOQL error: SOQL_EXECUTE_BEGIN. This could occur when querying large numbers of agreements (for example, >100,000 agreement records) or when initiating actions such as Amend or Renew. This error occurs because the Agreement Number field is not indexed.
Note: If this error occurs, contact the Salesforce support to index the Agreement_Number__c field on the Agreement object. Salesforce does not allow system admins to index any managed package fields without their support.
