New Features
The following features are new to CLM in this release.
CLM AI Library Capability
Enables AI-powered agreement lifecycle management through the Conga CLM Model Context Protocol (MCP) capability with Agentforce and Claude. Users can create agreements, generate and regenerate agreement documents, import offline documents, send agreements for review or signature, and activate agreements through AI-driven workflows. Administrators can install the CLM AI Library, import required components, and configure the respective capabilities in Salesforce and Conga CLM. For more information, see for Administrator - CLM AI Library, for Users - CLM AI Library.
Embedded Experience: Data Write-Back
Enables automatic write-back of contract data, executed agreement documents, and line item information from Conga CLM to Salesforce Account and Opportunity records. The enhancement synchronizes contract statuses, key dates, contract request information, agreement line items, and signed agreement PDFs, providing sales users with direct access to contract information within Salesforce and improving visibility into write-back operations through monitoring and error handling capabilities.
For more information, see Synchronizing Opportunity and Contract Line Items, Configuring Contract Data Write-Back Fields on Opportunity Records, Contract Data Sync, Monitoring Contract Request Write-Back Status.
Embedded Experience: Contract Amendment Workflow
Enables sales users to initiate and manage contract amendments directly from Salesforce Opportunities. The enhancement introduces Contract Type classification, Previous Opportunity and Previous Contract Number tracking, conditional amendment actions, automated amendment contract creation through Workato, embedded amendment contract editing, and amendment line item synchronization to streamline the contract amendment process.
For more information, see Linking a Previous Opportunity, Specifying the Contract Type for a Salesforce Opportunity, Configuring Amend Contract button to Amendment Opportunity records, Configuring the Workato Integration for the Amend Contract Recipe, Navigating Users to Amendment Contract in Embedded Experience.
Conga Brand Refresh
This branding update refreshes branding elements across CLM for Salesforce to align with current Conga brand standards. This visual refresh applies throughout the application and does not impact functionality, user workflows, or permissions.
Review Workflows: OneSpan and Microsoft 365 Enhancements
Enables browser editing for Microsoft 365 internal reviews, allowing reviewers to edit documents directly in the browser with Track Changes enabled. The existing Insert Comment Track Changes (ICTC) experience remains unchanged unless browser editing is explicitly enabled.
For Microsoft 365 reviews, a new APTS_ApprovalPhrasesForO365ReviewCompletion admin entry allows administrators to define specific approval phrases that reviewers must include in email replies to complete a review. When approval phrases are configured, only replies containing one of the specified phrases complete the review, while all other replies are treated as discussion comments. If the admin entry is left blank, the existing behavior remains unchanged and any email reply completes the review. This functionality applies to all Microsoft 365 review types.
The OneSpan integration now assigns transactions to the correct sender instead of the OneSpan organization owner by default, verifies the sender account, creates the sender when required, and displays the sender as a recipient only when the sender's email matches a recipient record.
For more information, see Configuring the Microsoft 365 Custom Settings in CLM, APTS_ApprovalPhrasesForO365ReviewCompletion and Ending Review via Email.
Deprecation of Redline AI in CLM for Salesforce
The legacy Redline AI feature is deprecated and has been removed from CLM for Salesforce. Users can no longer open Redline AI from the Documents tab, the document version page, or anywhere else in CLM for Salesforce.
AI-assisted redlining is now delivered through the new AI-powered Redline capability in AiMe, which is available through Conga X-Author for Contracts (XAC). AiMe Redline helps you review contracts faster. It compares documents, highlights changes, and recommends clause edits based on your organization's standards. For more information, see About Conga Redline.
Agreement Review Workflow
This enhancement streamlines the agreement review experience by introducing a single-step Send for Review process that automatically attaches up to ten eligible agreement documents, opens the reviewer page directly, supports additional documents through an Add Document selection popup, provides document preview capabilities for supported files, and surfaces validation, error, and informational messages on the review page. For more information, see Sending an Agreement Document for Review.
The Review Cycle Details page is redesigned to improve navigation and review visibility through a document switcher, enhanced reviewer table with cycle information, cycle progress indicators, improved visual cues for reviewer activity, and support for viewing complete reviewer comments through a popup. For more information, see Review Cycle Details in Sending an Agreement Document for Parallel Review.
The Clause and Field-Level Permission page is updated with a revised layout that aligns reviewer columns with permission cells, replaces the document selector with a document-count dropdown, and removes the reviewer checkbox. The Review Status LWC remains unchanged. For more information, see Sending an Agreement Document for Parallel Review.
The Enable Single-Step Review capability is supported for Parallel, Simple, Microsoft 365, and Google Docs reviews. When more than ten eligible documents are available, the ten most recently modified documents are automatically selected. For more information, see Sending an Agreement Document for Review.
