Obligations

Obligation and Clause Association

Obligations get associated with agreements through clauses. You can link an obligation and clause either through the obligation or through the clause.

Linking a Clause to an Obligation

You have edited the Obligations page to a add tab with the following details:

  • Tab name: Clause

  • Component: clauseObligations (custom component)

Clause tab by editing the Obligations page.
Linking a clause and an obligation is necessary so that obligations are created for agreement documents. You can link multiple clauses to an obligation in a single go.
  1. Click the App Launcher icon ().
  2. Search and select Obligations.
  3. Search and open the obligation to be linked to a clause.
  4. Click Clause tab for the obligation.
  5. Click Select Clauses.
    A list of clauses existing in the clause library is displayed
  6. Select the clauses to be linked to the obligation.
  7. Click Add.
The clauses are added to the list of clauses linked to the obligation.

  1. Click the App Launcher icon ().
  2. Under the Templates menu, select Clauses under Recent lists.
  3. Search and open the clause to be linked to a obligations.
  4. Click Obligation tab for the obligation.
  5. Click Select Obligations.
    A list of obligations existing in the system is displayed.
  6. Select the obligations to be linked to the obligation.
  7. Click Add.
The obligations are added to the list of obligations linked to the clause.
