Composer 8 runs in both Classic and Lightning.

The Composer Lightning Component only runs in Lightning.

Debug URL

A Debug URL is available in the Composer user interface to assist with troubleshooting.

A Debug URL is not available to assist with troubleshooting the Composer Lightning Component.

Guided Setup

Users can create Composer solutions using the Conga Solution Manager.

• Users must access the Composer user interface to use the Template Builder for gathering merge fields and building a new template.
• Dynamic Template Selection is allowed in Conga Solution Manager but is not an explicit feature.
• Cannot assign a new solution to a Solution Collection in the Conga Solution Manager.

Users can create Composer solutions with the Lightning Component using the Document Automation Wizard.

• The Document Automation Wizard allows users to access available merge fields (similar to the Template Builder) without launching Composer.
• Enable Dynamic Template selection is an explicit feature in the Document Automation Wizard.
• Users can associate a new solution to a Solution Collection in the Document Automation Wizard.

Salesforce Reports

Use Salesforce Reports in Salesforce Lightning to supplement a Composer Solution with additional data. Use SOQL Queries for additional data in Salesforce Lightning.

Reports are not an available data source for the Composer Lightning Component. SOQL Queries are used instead of Salesforce Reports.
