Installing Conga Auth Connected App

Due to recent changes in Salesforce connected app restrictions as seen in Prepare for Connected App Usage Restrictions Change, you will need to install the Conga Auth connected app in your Salesforce org to ensure continued integration access.

Features of Composer rely on the use of the Conga Auth connected app in order to authorize Users to utilize Salesforce data.

For New Users or New Salesforce Organizations

  1. Login to your Salesforce organization as the Administrator.

    1. You must have the Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps user permission assigned to your Administrator.

  2. Navigate to Setup > Connected Apps OAuth Usage.

  3. Initially, the connected app Conga Auth may not appear in the list.

  4. To make it visible:

    1. The Salesforce Admin must authorize the connected app at least once.

      1. Navigate to the Composer Setup tab and click Authorize.

      2. Enter Username and Password to login.

      3. An Allow Access prompt will display for the connected app.

      4. Review the permissions requested by the app.

      5. Click Allow.

    2. Once authorized, Conga Auth will appear under Connected Apps OAuth Usage for further management.

  5. Refer to the section below for existing users to install the connected app.

For Existing Customers or Existing Salesforce Organizations

  1. Login to your Salesforce as the Administrator.

  2. Navigate to Setup > Connected Apps OAuth Usage.

  3. Review the action column. If an app is uninstalled, the action column displays an Install button.

  4. Click Install. This will prompt the Salesforce Installation prompt.

  5. Click Install again.
