Configuring Composer

Composer & Sign Package Connected App Scopes

Salesforce Connected Apps OAuth scopes differ from Salesforce permissions in that they are not configurable by the administrator or the end user. Additionally, Salesforce OAuth scopes are more broad than permissions and are not suitable for granular security policies.

Below is the list of required Connected Apps and OAuth Scopes required by Conga Composer and Conga Sign.

Composer Connected Apps

Composer connected apps requested full access scopes rather than individual scopes. Additionally, the refresh_token is needed to support scheduling Conga Batch solutions and other integrated solutions.

Composer for Advantage Platform Connected Apps

Composer for Advantage Platform operates with the following reduced OAuth scopes.

Note: Conga Composer has introduced reduced OAuth scope connected apps that no longer request full scope. Usages of these connected apps are preview and not yet generally available.

  • api - Manage user data via APIs

  • custom_permissions - Access to custom permissions

  • refresh_token - Perform requests at any time

  • id - Access the identity URL service

  • web - Manage user data via Web browsers

  • openid - Access unique user identifiers

Conga Sign Professional Connected App

Conga Sign for Salesforce Professional has one connected app, Conga Sign, used for all calls to Salesforce. This connected app is limited in requested scopes compared to Composer and only needs access to APIs and the ability to maintain a connection.

Conga Sign Professional requires the following scopes:

  • api - Manage user data via APIs

  • refresh_token - Perform requests at any time
