Enabling Out of Office for Clause Approvals

  • You must have Out of Office enabled in Chatter Settings in Salesforce. In the Salesforce, go to Setup > Search for Chatter in the Quick Find box. Under Chatter Settings, click Edit. Check the Users can set Out of Office messages checkbox under the Out of Office section. Click Save.

  • You must set a Delegate Approver. In Salesforce, got to Setup > search for Users in the Quick Find box. Click Users > Click the name of your user > Click Edit > under Approver settings, search for the name of the Delegated Approver > click the name of the Delegate Approver > Click Save.

You must configure your Out of Office dates and message on a user level. Click your user profile icon in Salesforce > click your user name > Click Settings > Click Out of Office > Check the Set-out-of-office checkbox > Select your Start Date, End Date, and enter an Out of Office message > Click Save.

The Enable Out of Office for Clause Approvals toggle enables or disables delegate approvers for Clause Approvals. When enabled, the system honors delegate users defined in Chatter and Out of Office (OOO) status. When disabled, delegate approvers are disregarded. The toggle is disabled by default.
  1. In Salesforce, go to Conga CLM Setup.
  2. Under the General settings, scroll down to the Enable Out of Office for Clause Approvals section. Enable the toggle to allow delegate approvers for your Clause Approvals.
Clause Approvals will be routed to the user you selected as your Delegate Approver for the date range you configured in your Out of Office settings.
Note: In-progress approvals will not be rerouted to your delegate Approver.
