Creating an Email Template for Clause-Level Approvals
To set up Clause Level Approvals on a Custom Object, take the following steps:
- In Salesforce Classic, click the + from the navigation menu
- Click Documents.
- Click New.
- Upload an image file of your company logo.
- From Salesforce Quick Find, search for letterhead.
- Click on Classic Letterheads.
- Click Next.
- Click New Letterhead.
- Click Edit Letterhead and Select Logo to add a logo.
- Click Edit Properties and check Available for Use.
- From Salesforce Quick Find, search for email and click Classic Email Templates.
- Click New Template.
- Name the template Approval Requests.
- Under the Classic Letterhead dropdown, select the name of the Letterhead you just created.
- Click Edit HTML Version.
- Enter your email template message here. We recommend the following:
Hello {!Receiving_User.FirstName},
You have been assigned a clause(s) for review. Please click the following link to review, accept, or reject any changes: Click Here.
Best Regards, {!User.FirstName}
Note:Your Click Here link must use the {{Approval_Review_Link}} field.
- From the Salesforce App Launcher, go to Conga Contracts.
- Go to Conga Contracts Setup.
- Under General Settings, go to the Approvals section.
- From the Review Requested Template dropdown, select the template you just created.
- Repeat the above steps to create another template for Review Completed Template. We recommend the following for the email message:
Hello {!Receiving_User.FirstName},
You have completed the review of your assigned clause(s). If you want to view your changes again, click the following link: Click Here.
Best Regards, {!User.FirstName}
Note:Your Click Here link must use the {{Approval_Review_Link}} field.
