Activating CIM (Identifying Document Types)

You need the List Admin permission to activate the Cause Identification and Management (CIM) module. To activate the module, you must select the individual document types whose clauses should be analyzed whenever these document types are uploaded to a Contract Profile. A secondary activation task involves identifying the user roles that can upload documents by document type.

  1. Click the Gear Icon in the toolbar, and click Lists.
  2. Display the Document Types list items.
  3. Select the Analyze Clauses check boxes for the document types whose clauses should be analyzed when a document of this type is uploaded to a Contract Profile.
  4. Click Save.
    Important:

Your company’s standard contract terms should be stored in the Clause Library prior to using CIM since Conga Contracts pulls language from the Library in calculating the percentage match between the clauses in a document uploaded by a user and the current standard for each clause. Adding a clause to the library requires all Clause Types, Categories, and Security Levels to be added from the List Administration screen.
