Additional Names

Additional Name Profile

An Additional Name Profile contains information for another name by which a company is known (Also Known As or Doing Business As), or was previously known (Formerly Known As). The information includes the effective date for the other company name, as well as a description of the circumstances surrounding the alternate or former name.

Open an Additional Name Profile by clicking on a company name record in the Additional Names browse screen in a Company Profile.

Company Name field

Identify the alternate (or former) name for the company.

  • To edit the information in a field, click in the field to activate it, and then type over the existing text, or make a different selection in the list.

Additional Name Type list

Identify the type of additional name for the company:

  • Also Known As (AKA)
  • Doing Business As (DBA)
  • Formerly Known As (FKA)
  • Although the default additional name types are AKA, DBA, and FKA, your Administrators may have added other name types.

Effective Date field

Identify the date on which the alternate (or former) company name became effective.

Description field

Review the information provided on the alternate (or former) company name.

Delete button

Click to delete the additional name from the Company Profile.
