Program Components - Home Page and Portlets

The Home page is the screen that displays once you login to the Conga Contracts system. From the Home page, you can add portlets, which are miniature navigation windows that allow you to quickly link to the companies, contracts, projects, and other stored data that you regularly access.

The Home page is the screen that displays once you log in to Conga Contracts. You can return to the Home page at any time by clicking the Conga Contracts (or other) logo, located in the top left corner of every program screen.

You can add portlets to the Home page, which are miniature navigation windows that allow you to quickly link to the companies, contracts, projects, and other stored data that you regularly access.

From the Home page you can use the Navigation Toolbar to access the browse and input screens for the companies, contracts, and projects stored in Conga Contracts. From the Tools menu, you can run searches, generate reports on stored data, and access the tasks and information that directly affect you.

Additional portlet components include icons that are used to perform tasks from the portlet and the Search option that is used to locate specific data in the portlet.

Home page

The Welcome screen displays in the Home page when you log in to Conga Contracts.

To return to the Home page from any program screen, click the logo in the upper left corner of any screen.

Portlet

The default portlets that display in your Home page are determined by your System Settings Admin. The default portlets are Recently Viewed Companies, Recently Viewed Contracts, and Active Workflow Items.

Add Portlet button

Click to add a portlet to your Home page.

Remove icon

Click x to remove a portlet from the Home page.

Column display

To customize the information in a portlet, hover over a column heading until the v icon displays, and click it to open the Sort/Column menu. Click Columns to display a list of available fields, and select the fields you want displayed by clicking in the check box to the left of the field.

Sort option

Click on a column heading to change the sort order of the data.

You cannot sort the data in any of the Recently Viewed portlets.

Resize and Reorder Columns

  • To resize a column, hover over the right or left border of the column heading until the resize icon appears. Click and drag the border to the desired width.
  • To move a column to a different location in the portlet, click on the column heading and drag it to the left or right, dropping it in the desired location. When the green checkmark icon displays, you are successfully moving the column.

Properties icon

Click the cog icon to display a prompt or window and modify the properties for the portlet:

  • Active Workflow Items - displays a Configure Tabs prompt to control which tabs display in the portlet.
  • Upcoming Events - displays a Time Span prompt to control the number of days prior to the current date when displaying events that are due for completion.
  • Search Query - displays a Query Selection prompt to load an existing search and run it in the portlet.
  • Charting - displays a Chart Design window to select the type of chart and the search filter to use when displaying the chart in the portlet.

Collapse icon

Click v to collapse a portlet so that only the header displays. Click ^ to redisplay the entire portlet.

Tabs

If present, click on a tab to display a different view of the data.

Jump to Page option

To view a specific page of records, enter a value in the Page field and press the ENTER key on your keyboard.

Paging option

  • To move forward or back one page, use the < and > icons.
  • To display the first or last page, use the << and >> icons.

Refresh option

To return the portlet to the default view after a running a search or making changes to the display, click the refresh icon.

Resize Portlet icon

Hover over the | symbol between two portlets until the resize icon displays. Then, click on the icon and drag it to the right to increase the width of the portlet on the left, or drag it to the left to increase the width of the portlet on the right.
