Manage Rebate Programs

Rebate Programs enables sales teams to create and manage rebate programs as post-sale incentives. Unlike upfront discounts applied during quoting, rebates are calculated after a deal is closed. These programs help drive specific customer behaviors, such as volume purchases or product bundling, while maintaining pricing flexibility and profitability.

Sales representatives can define rebate programs, associate them with quotes, and present estimated rebate values directly on the cart. This visibility supports negotiation, improves approval accuracy, and promotes data-driven deal decisions.

CPQ supports various rebate structures to accommodate diverse sales strategies:

1. Financial Rebates
Single-tier RebateCustomer receives a 10% rebate after purchasing 500 units over 12 months
Tiered RebateRebate percentage increases based on volume thresholds.

For example:

  • 0–99 units → 0%
  • 100–249 units → 2%
  • 250–499 units → 5%
  • 500+ units → 10%

2. Conditional Rebates

  • Multi-condition Rebate: 5% rebate applies only if the customer purchases €100,000 worth of Stents and 500 Balloons.

3. Free-of-Charge (FOC) Rebates

  • Recurring: Customer receives 1 free item for every 20 purchased.
  • One-time: Customer receives 50 free Balloons after purchasing 500 items (one-time benefit only).

4. Cross-product Rebates

  • Buy Product A and receive a rebate or free units on Product B, based on quantity or tiered rules.
